Bright Mac PC

Description of Work: We called Bright Mac PC to help us with both our PC and Mac. It's tough to find a computer repair person that will work on both. We were having slowness with both computers. He came out and ran some tests on our PC to make sure it didn't have any viruses or malware. Because that test was going to take several hours, he made arrangements to come back in a couple days and finish up with fixing everything. He also checked the memory on both computers and determined that they both needed additional RAM. He ordered the RAM for us and was able to install it on his return visit. He was also able to set my Mac up to print wirelessly to our printer (which is older and not a wifi printer). He was very friendly and professional.

Description of Work: Rick came to help us with both a PC and a Mac. It's very rare to find somebody who's good at both and Rick definitely is. Our PC was running ridiculously slow and having internet problems. Our Macbook was having problems staying connected via wifi. Rick diagnosed our issues and recommended more memory for both machines. He was able to install the new memory and it really made the computers faster. He also deleted a lot of miscellaneous files that were clogging up the works and then addressed the wifi issue. On top of that, he was also able to fix something I'd been wishing for for the past 3 years! He was able to figure out how to make the PC share the printer with the Macbook via wifi!

Description of Work: Rick Thompson stopped by today for close to two hours to answer some half-dozen questions about my new iPad. He has helped me with my Dell PC for the past few years, and I regard him as a technological wonder. When he arrives, I usually have a problem to solve or a battery of questions to ask. Not only does he always repair the problem, but he also translates for me the language of the internet, sometimes with pictures, sometimes with metaphors, but always with commendable patience and clarity. I've used some dozen computer aides in my career, but none with as much intelligence--about both people and machines. He is absolutely the BEST of the lot. My daughter also uses him for her MAC and joins me in giving Rick Thompson as 5-star recommendation.
