He responded to a emergency call on a Saturday and made a repair to leak. Price for work was better than fair. I appreciated the quick response.

I am so beyond grateful for the 2 times I had Andrew help me out. First time was simply to replace a bathtub washer, but I could not do it myself. Today he fixed a hole in the wall, fixed a problem with my shade, and is assessing an issue w/my bathroom fan. He is very modest with prices, which is SO rare, and I am impressed with his overall professionalism. THANKS ANDREW!!

Andrew did a good job in figuring out what was wrong and what to do to fix it. Also, he noticed a problem with the toilet that he is going to repair sometime soon. He is good a finding what the problem is.

We just experienced an awful storm in Colorado that made the worldwide news. Our roof sprang a leak during the storm. Andrew came out the same day I called him (during the storm) and tarped the roof. He then came back the same day I called him to take the tarp down. When he took the tarp down he found the breach in the roof and sealed it. He charged me $70 to put the tarp up and about the same amount to take it down and seal the breach. I had never met Andrew before (I found him on Angie's list) but I will certainly use him again.

Andrew has done projects in my house many, many times and I am always extremely pleased with his work. He immediately figures out the situation, comes up with the best solutions, manages any issues along the way, and sees any other implications for the repair. He has a fantastic ability to anticipate what might happen with the repair and provide options for how to proceed. He is thoughtful, fair and completes very high quality results. I highly recommend him.

Icalled him, he picked up the water heater from the store, came to my location( which was down-stairs) Did the install, took away the old heater and that was it. He was very careful, making sure every thing met code and was secure.

He put the drywall up and it is sealed but he and I had a serious misunderstanding about the way he would put up the drywall. He didn't mud it or tape the seams or paint it. He just screwed them. He cut the drywall to fit but he didn't know what he was doing. It didn?t have to look perfect but he just screwed the drywall. At some point I just wanted him out of my house. It went over budget because he didn't know what he was doing and it took longer. He hired someone to help him. It was insane. It was awful and terrible. He did help us patch our roof and he was more comfortable with that. He was very thorough. The price was high for the drywall and reasonable for the rest of the stuff. We wouldn?t use him again. We also asked about a little plumbing thing and he told me how to do it instead of just doing it himself.

I just had a few small things that I needed to have done around the house. I called Andrew and he was able to come over that same day to look at everything. He reattached a cabinet door that kept falling down no matter how many times we fixed it and its still holding strong! He looked at a sink handle that had fallen off and explained that it was probably still under warranty and that the company would probably give me a new part for free. I haven't gotten the part in yet but when I do I will call Andrew back to install it. Then he looked at the gate latch and the tree in the deck that needed a bigger hole and said he could fix them early the next week. Finally, he looked at my drain stopper and showed me what part I needed and how to install it my self (it was a very easy fix). The next week he called an hour before the appointment to tell me he was going to be late. When he got there he was on the phone for a bit but didn't charge me for that time. He fixed the gate latch and the hole for the tree in 30 min and it all looks really good. He charged a very reasonable fee and I will defiantly use him again!

The plumbing repair went very well. Andrew identified places on the roof that needed some patching and took care of it. He was able to answer plumbing related questions very well and suggested how we could take care of some of the repairs ourselves, since that was our preference. In this respect he was excellent. The drywall work, however, did not proceed as well. Andrew stated that he thought it would take him and "a helper" about 8 hours to complete the work. He said the helper would require $15/hr. The quoted price seemed reasonable given the odd shape and size of these little closets--lots of surface area and tight working quarters. I assumed that his quote included mudding and taping the rock--and then sanding--to produce a finished surface. However, Andrew did not mud and tape the drywall even though pieces of our conversation indicated that that was what I expected. Instead, he persuaded me that caulk was the way to go. What a mistake. I feel that he took advantage of my lack of knowledge. There is no way that the space will ever look properly finished unless we pay to have someone else mud over the caulk. We haven't painted yet but when we do the seems between the sheets will be quite obvious. I feel that Andrew's quote to me originally was deceptive. I thought it would take about 500 dollars worth of work to finish the closet space, but that was based my thinking that the sanding and mudding and taping would be quite time consuming--more time consuming than putting up the dry wall sheets. Andrew put almost all of the 8 hours we agreed he would work into putting up the rock. He worked slowly--painstakingly slowly. I appreciate his work ethic and effort, but feel he should not have taken this job on. What he knew--and I didn't--is that he isn't very good at drywall. He worked hard, but overall the quality of the closet job was poor. I appreciate that the space is now safe and that my kids can use their closets--but overall this was a frustrating experience. The "helper's" rate changed in the middle of the job from 15 to 20 dollars an hour. At one point, Andrew disappeared for hours without any word as to when he would be back, jeopardizing me picking up my child from school on time (as I was forced to wait for him so as not to lock him out so he could finish the job). At the end of this experience I was fed up. Not just with Andrew, but with Angie's list. I felt like it was my obligation to write up a report of this experience. After all, I used Andrew because he had earned all A's.

Very well, Andrew gave me some advice on how I could "do it myself" on a couple of other minor projects around the house.

Andrew will certainly work independently, but he also welcomes homeowner participation. With this project, I agreed to do most of the staining and sealing on the door if Andrew would help me get started on it (I was a little nervous about diving into it on my own). So he did just that (he even lent us his sawhorses for the job). We worked together staining one side of the door, and he offered me tips along the way. I completed the remaining staining and sealing on the door. The door frame, which was wood rather than fiberglass, also needed to be stained, and I panicked when the stain seemed to have gone on too dark. Andrew came over, calmed my nerves and helped me even out the stain. :) Eventually, we were ready to hang the door. Andrew brought an assistant and spent pretty much an entire day getting the door hung. He is unflappable dealing with problems. (Turns out the new door was slightly shorter than the old door. He was able to work some magic and make it fit.) After the door was hung, we discovered we had the wrong door hardware (supplier's fault, not his). In the meantime, Andrew taped up the gaping hole in the door and we got by using the deadbolt. When the proper hardware arrived, Andrew came out again and installed it, and did some final caulking. I actually don't recall what I paid Andrew, but I think my estimate is pretty close, and I definitely feel that he is worth his weight in gold.

Andrew arrived at the promised time, after which we went over the to-do list. As we did this, Andrew performed cursory inspections and compiled a list of materials that he would need to complete the work. Andrew was extremely knowledgeable on a wide variety of household problems. He was also refreshingly honest where there were jobs that we might use an alternative kind of service to save us some money (for example, we have several window screens that need repair; Andrew suggested that beyond a certain number of screens, we'd be better off using a window/screen supplier). I agreed to be the gopher for hardware store supplies, so off I went while Andrew started in on removing the old toilets. Andrew worked efficiently and neatly. He spent most of the day at our house, though I'm quite sure he charged me for fewer hours than he actually put in. He didn't charge me at all for his time in picking up and hauling away the old toilets.

It went well. He is very careful, thoughtful and thorough with his work. He communicates well about what is going on and any trade-offs that might need to be made. He also worked very well with my schedule.

I had this job done while I was out of town. The man gave me a fair estimate of 40/hour and stuck to the time I told him I could afford. He had to do extra work that was unexpected in rebuilding the frame. He still did the job within the time and financial constraints.
