Job well done.
Our sales rep who was so helpful in deciding about windows had us sold before we even interviewed the others. Their products just didn't show us how they were better than these. Jack Savageau, the rep, even returned on the same day of the install to make sure we were happy.
It was a pleasure to do business with a company that cared.
The process went quickly once the windows with seal failure had been verified. Ron was the primary contact throughout the process. I also dealt with Brad, who was very knowledgeable and inspected the windows in question. Don completed the work, and he was really excellent and professional. He was mindful of my recently refinished floors, which I appreciated.
This company does a very nice job with repairs, which is good for folks to know. Even though there may be a few hiccups along the way. I am very pleased with Ameritech's work and the results. The new windows look great!
Problem was that it was not what I agreed to order. The salesman was
pushy and condescending. He insulted me for wanting additional quotes.
He shattered my dreams for what I originally ordered by saying that I
never brought up the fact that I wanted a shelf for the Garden window as
PROMISED. As far as I am concerned they are Liars and cheats. Their
prices are the highest and the quality is great. The big issue is that
triple pane windows are truly overkill for the Colorado area. Ask any
contractor. Lesson learned insure that you have everything in writing
that they promised.
"How upsetting to hear that you were unhappy with your recent experience, especially being a previous customer that had placed a large order for triple pane windows from us back in 2006 and commenting that you were completely satisfied with the experience. So much so, that you invited us back into your home for a garden window some 6 years later. I would like to reply to all your statements. 1-Triple pane windows have both R and U values that cannot be obtained with double pane windows making them far superior than double pane windows for energy efficiency and comfort in your home. That's a fact. Anybody telling you otherwise is either clueless, misinformed or doesn't sell triple pane windows. 2-$3500 for a Winchester Garden window is an excellent price for a window of such high quality, you even noted in your scathing negative review that you give it an A for quality. We could have easily sold you a lower quality window for less. We could have easily provided you less for less. 3-Though most garden windows are available with a glass shelf, ours is not. In addition, not only did we not tell you it had a glass shelf, we didn't charge you for one, didn't put it on the contract, didn't show you any pictures of one. Most of all, as per your request, you wanted to see pictures of what it would look like. We provided you with the link to the manufacturer's website so you could look at pictures of their garden windows. None of these windows has a glass shelf. After reviewing the website and not seeing any evidence of a glass shelf, which you claim as being so important that not having one "shattered you dreams", why wouldn't you question this? How about a call to the office asking why the manufacturer's website showed no proof a glass shelf even existed? 4-The border around your window required a thicker piece of trim because of the unique tile work in your kitchen, the standard trim didn't do the job, so we had to use a larger border than usual to properly trim the garden window. You made no mention of this being a problem for you when we finished the job. Otherwise, we would have explained this to you or even come up with something you may have liked better. 5-Claiming your sales rep. was condescending because you mentioned getting other quotes? He just stated the facts: He was the same rep. you had when you purchased our windows the first time some 6 years earlier. We were offering you the same quality and manufacturer, we even had the same exact installers. You told him your budget and he bent over backwards to accommodate you. What else did you need to look at? The bottom line is we have done excellent work for you twice. We provided superior quality windows and installation both times. We did everything we said we would do both times as promised per your contract. What do we get for that? We get called "Liars and Cheats". Your Welcome!"
We had an especially difficult time getting approval for our second floor bedroom replacement windows between satisfying our HOA and town's building department egress requirements, and our requirement that they be double-hung high energy efficient windows. During our 8 month ordeal we even had another window manufacturer we had signed a contract with ask to be released from the contract because they could not manufacturer a window that would satisfy all three of these elements. After meeting with over a half dozen different window manufacturers and contractors we had pretty much lost hope of being able to replace our windows with anything other than builder's grade or some other inferior vinyl single-hung windows. When we met with the salesperson from Ameritech and explained the obstacles involved and all we had gone through they immediately called Brian to see if they would be able to help us. Brian promised to do whatever it took to make sure we got the replacement windows we wanted. It turned out to be more difficult than he expected but in the end he kept his promise and we now have the superior high energy efficient double-hung windows we wanted.
