Alan and his team of subcontractors were on time, on budget (except for the unknowns that always pop up in a remodel like this). I found Alan's work to be excellent. He was reliable, responsive and thorough. Besides, he's a nice guy!Here's the mantra for construction: and quot;it always takes longer and always costs moreand quot;. Alan's team was darn close to negating that. Kudos on a job well done. Hire this guy. You won't be disappointed.

We had another estimate from an excellent local contractor.  This was less than half.  Alan stuck to the estimate except where something was discovered behind the wall that was unexpected, which we felt was fair.  Not quite as trouble-free as our experience with the other contractor, but considering the savings, well worth it.  The finished product looks beautiful and is highly functional.  There were several glitches with the plumbing, e.g. leak, piece of metal migrated elsewhere and caused another shower not to work properly, faucet handle loose and requiring a call to retighten.  Everything was rectified to our satisfaction.  Good communicator with high level of integrity.
We also had a very good experience with handyman work.  

It was great. He was extremely efficient and it looks great. He was reasonably priced.

It went very well. He started with the outside (lawn, fence, gutters, tree trimming, sprinklers) while the owners were moving out (to their new home). Then tackled the inside repairs including wall damage, misaligned doors, basement leaks, bathroom repairs, paint. It was smooth, orderly and complete in about 3 weeks.

Great! Alan was knowledgeable of the options, informed us of the alternatives in a way that we could decide what course of action to take, and performed the work quickly and at a very reasonable price.
