We were overwhelmed with the many signs of wear and tear of our 20 year old home, and needed guidance on the prioritization of action items. Tom was on-time, professional, and thorough. Pricing was fair and at no time did we feel any pressure from him to upsell any services, nor did we receive any judgement from him for our overdue repair items. We feel he gave us a truthful and complete punch list to work through. And we also appreciated that he took our request to not sell any of our personal contact information seriously- as we did not get the barrage of unsolicited calls/emails from random businesses looking to perform the needed services. In summary, we are very satisfied with his home inspection and if we should need a home inspector in the future, it's good to know we won't have to sift through zillions of companies- we'll definitely be calling Tom at WIN Home Inspection again.

My wife and I hired Lindley and Win Home Inspection to do the inspection on the house we were buying. Lindley incorrectly identified materials in our house that when we later discovered that would end up costing us thousands of dollars to repair. When we sought a resolution with Lindley for his mistakes, he referred us to his insurance company. Lindley himself did not file a claim, we had to file a claim for him (which seems bizarre and backwards). Lindley himself admitted that he made a mistake when he came over to take photos of the problem. When dealing with his insurance company, they denied all responsibility and were extremely condescending and refused to even hear us out. It was not until we contacted the Colorado Insurance commission and the attorney general that we got a proper response out of the insurance company. The insurance company stated that Mr. Boyd is a generalist and not a specialist and is therefore not liable for any mistakes that he makes while performing the home inspection. Eventually the insurance company offered us the original inspection fee back as a way to "buy our peace" and we refused due to the terms of the release stating we could not review Mr. Boyd our his company. Lindley comes off as a very nice man and he was always very personable when speaking with him in person. That being said, he made a mistake and between him and his insurance company they went to the ends of the earth to deny any responsibility in their mistake. I would avoid Lindley and his company at all costs. Buying a house is a huge endeavor, especially as a first-time buyer. There is enough stress in the buying process that you don't need someone who can blatantly make a mistake and then deny all responsibility. There are 100's of home inspectors in Colorado, give them your business. Lindley Boyd has proven to me that his lack of attention to detail and his unwillingness to accept fault/responsibility makes him a liability as a home inspector and not an asset in the home buying process.

Showed up on time and performed inspection as discussed on the phone during scheduling call. Our home was treated with respect and we really feel the service and quality were great.

He was great. He was very thorough. We got a print out of the inspection. He asked me to come with him so he could point everything out. He told me to ask questions. He was the best home inspector we have ever used.

We had him come because we are trying to sell our home and thought we would pre-empt a buyer's need for an inspection. When we move to our new home, which is in the process of being built, we will certainly have him inspect that house to be sure everything is working as it should be.

Continuous commentary on how to fix problems, things that you could do, where to locate walls in the unfinished basement, the purpose of certain builder's modifications. I was impressed, and I would rate myself as a ''better than average'' handyman.
