Bob found he had to do more work than was bid on the chimney, but he completed it and did not charge extra. He found bricks to match the existing brick on the fireplace, a good match! When he bricked up the fireplace, he had to trim the carpet back, but did not tuck it under and tack, just cut it and put mortar on the edge to fasten it. He did a great job on the masonry, but I wish he had tacked the carpet so it would look more professionally done.
