Do not hire this contractor! They were to replace a simple picket fence and did a terrible job. The fence they installed has bowed wood, crooked pickets, uneven boards and huge gaps. The 30 year old fence they removed was much better than the mess I was left with and paid thousands of dollars for. They delayed the project, didn't show up on time, didn't finish on time and used substandard materials. They also charged more than the contracted price and demanded to be paid in cash. The owner Roy demanded more money at the last minute and made threats if he wasn't paid the higher amount. Terrible people!

"This Customer wanted us to come out and give her a quote on what she wanted done, after we provided her quote, she agreed, on our first day on her project, she approach me and asked me if I could give her another quote for another section that she would lie to include, I gave her the quote for the added portion, and she agreed. on the day that we completed the fence, I gave her the final bill which included the added section, when she looked at it, she said that she didnt think she needs to pay for that added portion because she thought that it would be included, she knew exactly that she was making all this excuses up then she only paid me half of the added section when I confirm to her that i would put a lien on her property, she had a 1 year warranty on her fence, she has never called me to tell me there are boards that were warped and all that is on her complain. I would ask her community to watch out for her. she will take advantage of everyone that she will come in contact with. if anyone needs to see our written contract, I have that available. Thank you."

The pile of pickets he initially supplied turned out to be enough for about 85 feet of fenceline.  A week later I contacted him, and the lies began.  He promised a dozen times over the next several weeks (I still have the text messages) to come by and complete the terms of the agreement - supply the missing pickets and attach the fence.  It took about four months for him finally to admit that he had no intention of supplying the missing pickets.  I had long since attached the gate-fence myself, correcting a few problems with his crew's workmanship along the way.
If you want a rock-bottom price, don't care overmuch about workmanship, don't mind doing business with someone who will tell you one thing while doing another if it suits him, and if you absolutely refuse to pay until the job is completely done, you may be able to get your money's worth from this crew.

"Customer had brought some pickets from me as is for him to install pickets him self, halfway through the pickets he decided he wanted some better quality grade pickets and decided to return the pickets and for me to get him what he wanted. when a customer purchases pickets as is from us, he is assuming all responsibility for the pickets in any condition... now if I were installing the pickets, then thats a different scenerio. I would quaranty my service and if the material I use has any defects, It is my responsibility to to replace those pickets under the warranty of my service.. Customer thinks because he is a consumer, and if he tries hard enough, he would be able to get number 1 grade products for number 2 pricing. I stick to my policy and warranty.. Thank you very much. I found Roy very easy to work with and communicate with - making the job very easy to manage.  His communication was excellent, each morning he would call to let me know what time he would be arriving and what he was doing at that particular moment (picking up wood supplies).  He explained the process in detail and was happy to discuss alternative ideas and explore my suggestions.  I am very happy with the fence he has built and have received many compliments in the neighborhood.  Roy has also been hired by a few of my neighbors to do their fences and I believe this is testament to his quality of work and value for money.  I would not hesitate to recommend him and I wish him all the best with his family business.
