Best plumbing company I have worked with at any of my homes

I hired these guys to look at a gas water heater. They were able to come out on a holiday weekend and told me up front that because it was a weekend I would get charged $45 for the consultation. I was fine with that but I asked specifically if I would get a quote before putting out any more money. She told me I would. The plumber came outquite a few hours hate, which I was still okay with. He looked at the heater and said the pilot light was out. He asked me for a lighter, which I gave him, lit the light (which took 5 minutes) and the. tried to charge me $250. I told him I was told the diagnosis was $40 and they said he would give me an estimate before doing additional work. That s where he got a bit uncomfortable and said he didn t like charging that much, but that his boss gets angry with him for giving away time . I m sympathetic to the COVID stuff and to people times and weekends or holidays, but I expect companies to disclose prices they can up front and to give me a quote for additional charges if they say there is going to be one.

Great experience! If you have to call a plumber, call Waterworks plumbing and heating! I called them in the morning, they came out that afternoon. Same day response, clean and professional work. Matt did a great job, very detailed work, and took his time to explain what was wrong and how he was going to fix the problem. Pricing was very reasonable as well. I got 2 emails, the first one was for the correct day & time of the appointment. Then I got another email saying the appointment was for a different day. Then he called me by mistake on the day before saying he was coming at 9. He called me by mistake, he was trying to call a different customer. It was a little confusing. He did do a great job other than that.

My only comment is that I would have liked, and requested, an itemized receipt from Matt. I never received one. It seemed like he did good work,and I appreciate him being available on short notice. But I have no idea what his purchase price for the replacement water heater (at Home Depot) was, his parts cost, nor his labor. All things I would need to know to give a proper review.
