It went very well. After I called Mr. Nguyen I sent a picture of the chairs and he was very prompt getting back to me with the estimate of cost and time frame. I asked him if it was possible to get them back before Christmas as he had given time frame as 4 weeks. He said that he could if I got the chairs to him a fast as possible. I found the fabric the next day and delivered the fabric and the chairs to him the day after. He actually took less than a week to upholster those chairs and they look absolutely wonderful! He even built up the cushions and back of the chairs as they are over 20 years old. I was very, very pleased with the look of the chairs and his punctually! I would most definitely refer him to anyone looking for a good upholsterer.

Wow! Tien did an amazing job. He took great pains to carefully match the pattern in our fabric. He also did all the piping in the second fabric. He was quick and very detailed. The chairs came out beautifully! We are very happy. Wish I would have taken our old couch to him before donating it. He could have brought it back to life.

I had ordered 2 new dining room chairs as I wanted to seat 8 at my table
and couldn't find any more that matched my original dining room table. 
In ordering 2 upholstered chairs in one fabric, I ordered additional
fabric to replace the seats on my other dining room chairs so they
matched.  TIEN NGUYEN UPHOLSTERY INC got the chairs completely done
with the utmost professionalism within one week.  They are beautiful and
now my entire dining room set looks awesome.  I told my husband that we
will be bringing some of our other furniture to these folks to recover
to get brand new furniture.  I would highly recommend them.

They did a good job, and did the work for the price that they quoted. It was actually a quicker turn around time than what they had quoted us. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I needed replacement cushions for Lloyd Flanders wicker furniture, and the sizes needed to be custom made. I bought the fabric myself, and took it in with the original (squirrel-chewed) cushions to be matched. Tien was very quick and professional in estimating the cost, and suggested how to save a little money by salvaging and rewrapping portions of the original filling. He gave us the exact date that he would be able to start the work, so that we could take the original cushions home to use for 2 weeks until he could start the new ones. We took the original cushions in to him on July 1, the date he gave us, and expected it to take an additional 2 weeks before we got the new cushions back. Instead, he called on July 6 and had them done, having obviously worked on them over the holiday weekend. They are lovely, and fit the furniture exactly. It was a great experience, and I'd definitely use him again.

I found Tien's upholstery business on Angie's list and decided to use him based on the reports and experiences of others. He is also conveniently located which is a plus. Looking for an upholsterer was, in fact, the reason I joined Angie's List. If all my experiences with other firms on Angie's List are as positive as this one was, I will be a very happy client! From the beginning, Tien and his workers were very easy to work with. They answered all questions and were happy to show examples of their work in progress as well as finished pieces waiting to be delivered or picked up. He has ample workspace and a number of people working in his shop. He operates his business in a highly professional manner; he completed the work according to his original estimate and on time (within a week). While he has a large number of fabric sample books and can order fabric, we did not purchase the fabric from him. We had already ordered the fabric from Calico Corner and were looking for an upholsterer. The estimate we had received from Calico Corner's upholsterer was significantly higher. We will take a look at his fabrics and prices when we have our two wing chairs recovered in the near future. Obviously, we highly reccomend his services.

I had used another company and I was pleased with them, but they were on the other side of town. My experience with them was fine, but I thought they were a little expensive compared to some other companies that I have used. The sofa that they redid was a foam sofa with wooden handles. They put the upholstery on and may have put some new filling and they did what I asked and did it well. They did not do anything extra like my old company.

They did a perfect job, and had the job done a week prior to the promised date.

Tien Furniture and Upholstery consistently does exceptional work. This is about the third time I have used them over the past two years. Each time I know that I am going to be pleased with the quality of their work. I highly recommend them.
