I have had the most difficult time getting my AC fixed. I first had Homehealth come out which I signed up for under Xcel energy. The guy changed out my thermostat - which didn't fix the problem. Homehealth did come back but the guy thought I might have a leak and said he would have to check every inch of the piping and it would be thousands of dollars to check (he wasn't familiar with running dye through the system - he physically was going to check every inch of the pipes). I canceled that service.
I next called Plumb Line. They said it was probably a leak but recommended that I get an entire new AC system - the pricing being $8,000 - $17,000. He wouldn't know the exact price until he got into the system. He did the hard sale and it was really difficult to get him out of the house.
I then called two other technicians. One set an appointment twice and never showed at either. The other one was from Angie's list and the receptionist said she needed someone technical to answer my questions - they never called back.
Finally, I called The Weather Changers and the person who answered the call immediately understood what I needed. She scheduled a time for a technician to come out with a half an hour window. I didn't have to take off a full day of work to wait for someone not showing up.
The technician arrived on time. He was courteous. He quoted a price of $150 plus freon (and laughed about the $17,000 quote from Plumb Line). He set up another time to come back and do the work. He was there exactly at the time he said. He fixed the problem and did a few extra things to make sure all of it was fixed.
It is so nice when a company actually shows up. They are on time and they do a good job. This company did all of that. I am so happy I found them.
