Sea Breeze Denver Duct Cleaning

I have to say that when I made the appointment, the person on the phone who made the appointment was extremely efficient and professional.  The appointment was made approximately six weeks in advance, which is not terribly unusual for a popular coupon offer.  Also, the guy they sent showed up on time and he was courteous and friendly, but that's where the positive experience ended.  I assume that the ducts and dryer vent were cleaned as agreed, but there were a number of things that left a bad impression.  The first and perhaps most negative thing is that the guy knocked multiple holes in my freshly-painted walls (one of them was a doozie) with the vent cleaning equipment (which was essentially a heavy drill attached to a long handle with a bristle brush on the end of it, so it shouldn't have been all that awkward to handle).  The second is that he recommended $600 in additional services with a stern warning that without it my furnace might fail.  I think there is more than one way to clean dust off the copper coils than to do a high-priced steam cleaning and sanitizing job.  I asked him to just go ahead and do the work that is included on the groupon and do no more.
Additionally, this company is based in Colorado but serves Indiana.  I could be wrong, but I have found no evidence that they actually have an office in Indiana.  The representative they sent to clean my vents told me that he had flown in from Colorado.  I'm not necessarily against using out-of-state companies, but it does lead me to believe that they view the Groupon as a way of getting their foot in the door to sell other overpriced services rather than a way to expand their business and build a reputation in a new state.  Incidentally, the guy accidentally left his cleaning equipment at my home.  I called Seabreeze Air to let them know I had the drill, but no one called me back to make arrangements for me to return it.  So I guess I did get a drill out of the deal...

Groupon for $60.00 tutned out to be a "hook". Had to pay $120.00 above that price for the returns to be cleaned. The technicican proceeded to use a high pressure air hose which I though was very unusual-made a mess in my house and as it turned out blew a big ball of dust and pet hair up into the coils on my furnace which I discovered after the fact when I had to have a reputable company come service the furnace becasue it no longer functioned after his visit. Phone calls to the company have been ignored.

The providers representative showed up -told us the "groupon" deal we had purchased only covered the intake and not the return-if we wanted the return cleaned it was another 100+. He was there so my husband and I decided to let him do the job. He seemed to be using an air compressor combined with a truck run vaccum. He proceeded to "clean the vents and made quite a mess in a few places in the house which he did not clean up. 'We did not know until the furnace came on & then we tried the AC and there was no air moving at all. I checked the AC and found nothing amiss-then looked at the furnace-the coil was completely surrounded by the debris that had been blown out of the ducts. We called a company we had dealt with before to come out to service the furnace. The technicican from the reputable company pulled a collection of dirt, feathers and hair out of the furnace about the size of a soccer ball. I saw this happen with my own eyes! We have birds and dogs which was the reason for the vent cleaning to begin with. So we got to pay another provider and nearly had our furnace ruined by the incompetence of the SeaBreeze company and their inadequate and inappropriate methods. I have called the company, and tried to talk to someone about at least getting our money back but there has been no response.
