She over charged us for contractor work, was unable to provide invoices for the contract work despite multiple requests, and then added a 20% commission for herself on top of the inflated charges. We recently replaced a broken piece of glass that she had cut for us to protect a piece of furniture. She originally charged us $350 plus commission (20%) for the glass to total $420 plus tax on our final bill with her. Total cost to replace the same glass (several years laterâ ¦after inflation) from the same source was under $200. Additionally, I had over 150 emails from her and her employees throughout the course of the decorating process that consisted of a single room. The project took 5 months. And the wall of bookshelves in the room still looked terrible after she arranged them. It was insane. Also attempted to charge me $125 for the service of hammering 5 nails in to the wall of the room. Plus commission and tax, of course. One positive: she does have a great personality, and is definitely clever. Also, every contractor that came in to our home was extraordinarily professional and competent. She seems to have found a way to hide negative reviews, as I was able to find some on less popular websites but not in google or yelp. If you want interior design, I recommend the online service *****. Their designers are fantastic; on a completely different level than what I got with Poonams. The process is much more efficient and the costs are completely transparent. Good luck.

First, Pam... she is lovely, professional, enthusiastic, realistic, knowledgeable with the best eye for design and details! Her team equally amazing. The show room convenient, the craftsmanship was top tier. We bought a 1988 ranch and decided to update EVERYTHING. Kitchen, bathrooms (all)floors, paint, lightning, carpet, electrical, wall paper, baseboards, demo work, walls moved, doors, you name it we did it, and... so glad that we did. Pam was honest about the project timing, careful with our budget, respected our esthetic but pushed us where it made sense or kept us from making choices we would regret (i.e new floors, new paint, new doors but keeping old baseboards). The showroom is magical and super convenient and efficient for busy professionals. Pam and team were well prepared for selection appointments and did not rush us to make any designs. The paint crew, demo, tile, plumbing became part of our family. Everyone treated our home with respect even when it was a complete project site. I literally cried when painters, Martin and Victor complete their final brush. And we did drive buys on the crews during the project- people where here every day! Her project leads Roland and Vick couldn't be nicer and more committed to perfection. And as we settled into the house, Pam and her team have come back to adjust minor nits. She stands behind their work. And yes, there some delays but all due to COVID and manufacturing. The work is quality. The products are top notch The team is kind. The process was excellent. Pam was professional, and as my husband and I changed our minds on things, she was unflappable and accepting. The grouter, painters and carpet layers were experienced and thorough. In all, it was a pleasant experience.

This was a very bad experience. I am still having to bring in and pay for new contractors to fix what she left in disrepair. Multiple parts of the project had to be redone multiple times before they were remotely satisfactory. The workers she brought in were very subpar. She was even signing off on pieces of the project and paying the workers for very substandard quality work. Only after I had to flip out would she go the appropriate lengths to have something fixed. I found it was a lot of shortcuts, lack of clarity on how work would be completed and poor execution of work for prices well in excess of the quality of results.

I am so thrilled with the results, Poonam's By Design was very professional. The design exceeded my expectations, I can't wait to show all my family, friends and neighbors the finished product. This design company kept all their appointments of work and labor and were on time and did a wonderful job. Everyone that sees the work loves it!

Pam was great. She immediately understood my needs and transformed our living room into a beautiful and relaxing area. We receive complements every time we have company over.

Pam is a hard worker with a beautiful eye for design. We're very happy with the way our entire house turned out, and I would recommend her to anyone. She went way above and beyond to make sure we were happy. She's also a lot of fun to work with.

Talented interior decorator: If you are looking for a good experience with a professional that will pay attention to your input and be able to formulate and intelligently produce a design or service with your pointers in mind, then this is your designer. Her ideas translated well in my home. I, also, like her energy and effervescence.

This service professionala is consciencious and attentive to her client's tastes and visions. She's a good coordinator, helping to ease the way through complex decisions. I appreciate the help she provided.

The overall design of my bathroom remodel turned out fantastic. I did most of the work myself except for the plumbing and electrical. PBD, LLC supplied the plumber/electrician who was fantastic and I would highly recommend. However, one of the main reasons I chose PBD, LLC was that I was told that I would be kept at or under a budget (which was determined by PBD, LLC) and ended up over budget. This was even after I modified my original design (without the assistance of PBD, LLC) to stay somewhat within the original budget.

Delivered about half of what was promised with budget. If you decide to use her, keep close track of your money - she is not very good at it. Pam did not deliver on a lot of what was promised. She was not around to oversee the trades that were working at all which led to problems. I don't have one finished room! On the positive side, Pam is an energetic and positive person. Negative - she just was not very good at knowing how to incorporate existing things, knowing styles and how to shop for those styles, and most importantly, delivering what she said could be done! Very, very disappointed! I wouldn't use this one.
