The 70-employee company I work for, RMT Companies, needed our online application process streamlined, and to be much more robust than it was. We use two different employment applications, depending upon the position being applied for, and program we had been using was quite antiquated, and wasn’t giving us the information we needed, not to mention that our business needs had grown. In the end, we were never sure just how many job applicants we might be losing, simply because the online application process was cumbersome, and not easy to work with. We began with an IT company that had been recommended to us. It turned out that they were not able to meet our needs in the timeline we needed. We then searched Angie’s List for IT professionals and found Stan Makowski with Peak to Peak Web Design. Stan was very easy to work with and responsive to our needs. He refreshingly does not use “IT speak,” but uses “business speak.” That in itself was a breath of fresh air. Stan communicates without using IT jargon, and was able to quickly understand our issues and goals. Upon our initial meeting, Stan was professional and concise, and took the time to make sure he had a clear vision of our needs. The quotes he provided were detailed and very clear on what work would be done, as well as what services would be out-sourced (e.g. web hosting). Stan gave us options, which allowed us to work within our budget, making the best decisions for our business and needs. Stan kept in touch with our team throughout the entire process. The process took longer than we had anticipated; however, the end result was exactly what we wanted and that was most important. We were extremely happy with Stan and his work. He rebuilt both of our job applications and integrated an electronic signature, which we did not have, and needed badly. We now have a much more streamlined online application process which includes a secure authentication process, additional essential documents that are all electronically signed, and a cleaner, easier to read final document (job application) that is automatically emailed to us. Stan certainly impressed us with his abilities, pricing (he could have charged us more, and still would have been competitive), and his ability to deliver a robust, well thought out, and user-friendly solution. In fact he is still is available to us when we have questions or need minor changes. We highly recommend Stan, and Peak to Peak Web Design, and will absolutely use him for any future web/IT needs we may have.
