I called Elite garage door on a Saturday afternoon. I couldn't find any other companies open that day. They responded immediately and sent someone over within an hour or so. I asked if they charged more because it was a weekend and was told they always charge the same no matter what day the repair was done. My cables had come off the drums. The door was half open and would neither open more or close. They quoted me $450 to repair it. I was able to talk them down to $400, but I asked if the job was easier to repair and only took an hour or two, would they charge less. The owner said no, "take it or leave it." I asked if we could discuss it when the job was done and he told me: "we have nothing more to discuss." I had no way to know actually what all needed to be done and no way to know what the job should cost, so I told them to go ahead and do it. The repair tech completed the job in under two hours. I offered to pay with a credit card and was told they charge 3 percent to accept a charge card, so I paid him cash and he left. I was also told at the end of the job that they only warranty their work for 30 days. On the following Monday I called a different company that I have used in the past for garage door repairs. I told him what was repaired and asked what he would charge for the repair. He told me he would have charged between $150 - $160. I had paid $400 for a job that should have cost me at most half that much!! I feel that that Elite Garage door gouged me on the price! No parts were required and the service repair took under two hours. The door was repaired and is presently working OK. I would only recommend using them if you have an emergency, no one else is open and you don't mind paying way more than a job should cost!!

"I’m sorry you weren’t happy with our service. I’d like to respond to your review and explain: We don’t work by the hour, we charge by the complexity of the job. This [Member Information Removed], we can always give our customers the cost upfront and there are not unpleasant surprises. You were not charged extra for a weekend rate because we don’t do that. The rate you received is the same as it would have been on a weekday. This is a 10 ft high very heavy door so it’s not your normal residential door. It’s more of a commercial type door and It’s more complex and riskier to work on these doors. I have called and discussed this job and cost PRIOR to our tech starting the job, since you voiced your concern about it with our tech. I explained that this is what we normally charge for this kind of repair and that we cannot do it for any less. We never gave you any pressure to complete the job with us, but the fact of the matter is that you did CHOSE to complete it with us knowing upfront what the price was. You could have contacted more companies, compared prices and hired another company who would have been willing to complete this job for a lower price. But again, you chose not to. It’s very easy for other professionals to quote you after the fact a lower price because they want to get your future business. But none of them was actually there to see what was going on with the door and what steps had to be taken to repair it. We might not be the cheapest service out there, but we provide an excellent and professional service 7 days a week. We have 90 days warranty on labor and 2 years warranty on parts and we always answer the phone. The bottom line is this: you felt like eating a steak so you went to a restaurant. You looked at the menu and saw a steak you thought was overpriced, but you wanted a steak so you decided to order it anyway. You ate it, you liked it and paid for it. But now you're complaining about the price even though you knew up front what it would cost and enjoyed your steak. It really doesn't make any sense."

Extremely satisfied with the job. I called for a routine tune as my garage door started having issues. It turned out one of the springs broke. I got a callback and an appointment on the same day. The tech person showed up on time and was very professional. He immediately noticed the broken spring and explained my options. I ended up replacing both springs for a very reasonable price and in a professional and timely manner with a 2 years warranty. I am very glad I called this company.

Last night was one of the coldest nights I can remember and of course my garage door wouldn't close. I tried everything, but it still wouldn't close. Called Elite Garage Doors and they got here very quickly, especially for an after hours call. They were very professional and were able to efficiently figure out the issue. Thanks to Elite Garage Doors, my garage closes! Hopefully I don't have any further problems with my garage door, but if I do, Elite Garage Doors will be my first call!

Gabriel is outstanding. One of the two screws securing the door bracket pulled out of the PVC-like material of the door. Gabriel replaced the screw with a nut and bolt; re-positioned the door arms so the amount of force closing the door is now perfect, checked my entire system and lubricated all of hinges and rollers. It is so obvious that Gabriel cares very much about the service he provides and the quality of his work. Gabriel is now my go-to garage door contractor.

Gabe sent a text when he would be there which was well within time given. He explained what was wrong and fixed it. He inspected the door and found the wheels were broken which probably affected the springs. He replaced them. He noticed the chain was loose and tightened it. Price? Everything explained and more than fair for a Sunday repair.
