Robert came out and looked over the job that we wanted done and gave us an estimate and date that he could start. We were not going to be here when he could start but he still was able to come out and start the work, so that he could finish the work in a timely manner. We were very pleased with the work that he and his crew did for us!!

We hired this company to fix and apply stucco around a  new window and to finish a portion of the house in stucco. We had had bad luck with other such companies and this had delayed our process of doing stucco for a month. When I joined Angie's, I found this Denver Plaster, and when I called, Robert came out right away to give us an estimate. He gave us the estimate the same day, and we accepted that night! The price reasonable and competitive. The crew came out within two days and were finished within a week. They were all polite, did wonderful work, and were very attentive to our requests. We are very impressed with this company and would recommend them to others, no question.

The price was around $500.  Everything turned out to my satisfaction.  Since it is a small business, the guy was really easy to work with.  Compared to the work he had done personally a few times in the past, he may have had some guys out doing it in his place at times that may not have been as good.  I would use him again in the future.

I had Robert Davey of Denver Custom Plastering remove all of my EFIS and replace it with hard coat.  My entire house was EFIS, hence the higher price (and I did get 3 other bids).  We began at the end of June and I had a separate contractor at the site each day to look at the damaged wood etc that was revealed after the EFIS was removed.  Because of the perfection I wanted of the basic structure, which I had my carpenter do, it took about 5 months to complete the job.  Robert did not complain at all (it would normally take a month to do this).

I thought he was amazingly easy to deal with.  He had his scaffolding and materials at my site while we corrected numerous underlying issues.  In addition, the few items that he damaged he immediately took responsibility for.  Like a couple of trampled yard lights, some potted plants they disconnected from the drip watering system and a small amount of electrical work (where a nail goes through a wire).  He covered all of these with no complaint.  And he did not try to increase the price.

The ease of dealing with Robert is of great value to me.  He didn't underbid, which I appreciate, but he also didn't try to increase it despite the numerous issues we found.  My experience is that when he gives you a price, that's it.  No surprises.

I would definitely do business with him again.

They were quick to respond to my inquiry and send out someone to estimate cost.  They were quick to come get the repairs and then painting done.  Very professional and nice; cleaned up perfectly after the job was done.  We are quite satisfied with the work, though would have preferred a bit lower price.

I liked pretty much everything about them. They did a good job. They showed up on time. They had alt of choices and options to pick from. They brought their own things so that they didn’t have to use my facilities. They were friendly and nice. It’s a family owned business. I would use them in the future.

They charged me about $500. I have used them before. I don?t have any complaints about them. The main thing that really attracted me initially about them was their pricing since it was very reasonable. They were prompt and they also did a great job. They were fairly quick as well. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Our home in Cherry Hills Village was built in 1994 with an EIFS system, but was improperly installed. It lacked any weather barrier over the substrate and flashing around windows and doors. We constantly had problems with leaks and knew our structure wasn't weather-tight. So, we researched the issue and decided to replace the synthetic stucco with a hardcoat system, which also has the benefit of being impervious to woodpeckers and a great sound insulator. We talked with many contractors who each had their pros and cons. Finally, we selected Robert Davey and his firm, Denver Custom Plastering. It was not the lowest bid we got, but in exhange for paying somewhat more, we got thorough attention to detail, a well-trained (and large) crew of workers, personal service from Robert himself, who doesn't mind doing some of the dirty work such as fixing a rotted window frame. The system we put in was a traditional 3-coat, 7/8" stucco system with TWO layers of weather barrier, 15 pound felt and Tyvec brand stuccowrap. Above that, a metal lath was installed, followed by what's called a "scratch" coat, and then a base coat. Finally, the base coat was prepped with another coat that had stucco mesh embedded in it for further resistance to cracking, and then a finish coat was applied. The end result is a home that not only is quieter with a more "solid" feel, but also prettier and more expensive looking than the old EIFS sytem siding we had before. There were no major surprises, quality was top notch, Robert and the crew listened to our special needs and were responsive, and the work was finished on budget and on time. Denver Custom Plastering "hit a homerun" with us. If you hire them, be sure to ask for Alex to be the foreman on your project. He's been with Robert for 10 years, knows what he's doing, and runs a hardworking crew.

Denver Custom plastering gave us a mid-range bid and we really felt great about the questions the owner Robert asked us and ideas that he had. After we decided to hire them, Robert came out and provided us with several texture examples on large boards and in several colors that we were interested in before the work began. He also had all the sidewalks covered, got the needed permits, placed a roll-off dumpster in front of our house and a port-a-pot behind the house for his crew. Robert's crew showed up at 7 am each morning and didn't leave until the evening. Robert had several project that he was managing but found the time to come and work on the more detailed aspect of the work himself. Although we were going to just patch the old stucco, Robert discovered that the previous stucco company had not papered behind everything and water damage to the house was beginning to occur (the old stucco job had only been done 4-5 years previously). I saw the rusty staples, the missing paper and the stains from the water damage on the wood. He split the cost with us for the additional cost of removing all the stucco from the house. After the first layer of color went on we changed our minds and Robert had the new color we chose custom matched and personally brought us a sample. He also worked with us to make sure that the transition between the original brick house and the new addition looked great and other issues were smoothed out. I could go on and on about the excellent work that Denver Custom Plastering did. We absolutely love the color, texture and quality that we received and so do our neighbors and friends! Many neighbors we didn't even know have stopped to comment on how great our house looks. In all of our remodeling expenses, Denver Custom Plastering was one of the best values for the service and work received. We paid a little over the original estimate to have the old stucco removed but they split the cost with us and it made for a much better end product! Denver Custom Plastering went above and beyond our expectations and we highly recommend them to everyone! There are a lot of stucco companies out there but Denver Custom Plastering is who we trust!
