Deacons TV

Appeared totally disinterested in my business.

We called Deacon to come out and give us an estimate. They told us that our LCD needed to be replaced and it needed to be serviced, which they quoted at $550. We paid them the $70 for the house call and told them we would call them the following Monday. They said we had 10 days to contact them and apply the $70 to the cost. I looked in the owners manual after they left and was able to check status of the LCD and apparently it wasn't going out after all. I called them to get the estimate itemized between the LCD replacement and the service. They said they needed to get the invoice details, which was not "readily accessible". They never called back. I would not recommend this company for any type of service.

They (the person on the phone & the technician) were very professional & efficient. The phone person explained the charges & got the information needed. The technician went right to work with a minimum amount of talking. I did ask if I would need a new box for dialog & he said I wouldn't need it, but I have an antenna, so we'll see 2/2009.

He didn't arrive at his originally scheduled appointment date. We called the office, and they called back saying he would come the next day. He did arrive the next day, and repaired the TV.

THE REPAIR PERSON FROM DEACONS CAME OUT AND PICKED UP THE TV. HE WAS POLITE AND PROMPT. THEY HAD THE TV AT THEIR SHOP FOR ABOUT 2 DAYS, THEN DELIVERED IT BACK TO OUR HOME. THEY DID A GOOD JOB.
