CJ Restoration

We highly recommend this company. They were able to advocate for us with the insurance company having them increase what they paid for from just the roof to the gutters windows siding and even the barb-b-que that was damaged in the storm. They eliminated the hassle and did fine quality work.

Plenty of talk, not much action. CJ Restoration came highly recommended from someone else who also owns commercial property in the area, so I thought I could hire them without too much worry. I was wrong. CJ Restoration was one of a handful of companies who came out to bid on the job. Long story short, after wanting to hire them to do the work, nothing happened. As the building owner the insurance company contacted me a few weeks after CJ Restoration was supposed to be working on the project, asking if anything was being done. I passed that communication along to CJ Restoration with the presumption they would be in contact with the insurance company anyway as part of their work. More than 6 weeks after that insurance company email, I get a letter in the mail saying my claim is being closed since it's now been six months+ and the insurance company hasn't heard anything from CJ Restoration about doing the work. I contacted CJ Restoration that day, trying to find out what in the world was going on. They apologized, said they were working on the estimate and they'd send it right over. When their estimate arrived, it had dozens of errors on it, including wrong dates of when people were at the site, up to listing out features on the building that don't exist and the cost to repair them. (there's no fireplace here.)

Bad. Crew was poorly trained. Fitter broke the glass in the old window and then took it down through the house leaving broken splinters that we were finding days later. He also completely bent the screen during installation (tried to force it). The crew tried to make a hasty retreat but we called them back to clean up all the wreckage they left on the porch roof. Oh and the window was also the wrong design. We have been waiting 13 MONTHS for a replacement that was promised today but they never showed up (surprise).

Sergio Hernandez initially informed us that the process would take many months and a lot of interaction with the insurance company. He was exactly right! He really understands the process and how to work with insurance companies. He always gave us realistic expectations about repair timelines and thoroughly explained the work to be performed. All work was satisfactory and done exactly when he said it would be. I really was impressed with Sergio's candor and honesty about the the work and dealings with my insurance company. He talked the talk and completely walked the walk.

CJ Restoration helped us with our insurance claim and through the process. Everything went smooth, and we were kept up to date on schedule.

Great company! They help me with filing my insurance claim and was there through the entire process, they pointed out some damage to the Insurance Adjuster that he had missed. Before CJ knocked on our door we were putting off doing the roof, just didn't know who to chose, was thinking and quot;did we really have any damageand quot;....but they really come to the rescue, very glad we had them do our roof, siding and gutters...it looks great and they were very easy to work with. If I had any questions we just called and got the answers or my Rep. or their GC came out right away.

CJ Restoration did a good job. They kind of did okay and they kind of didn't. They kind of dropped the ball. The work was okay I think, I don't know I haven't gotten on the roof. I can't tell on the quality, but the inspector passed it.

Hail storm occured on June 5th and considered a catasrophic loss by the Insurance Companies.  Contractors started calling on the neighborhood almost immediately.  With so many contractors to choose from my choice was made based on the contractors proximaty to my home as well as their responses to my calls.  My insurance adjuster arrived within days of the event so I had their report long before I had decided on a contractor.  C J Restoration would have peferred to have been hired early on so they could have viewed the roof with the adjuster, but that was not the case.   Once we made the decision (July 3rd) we were given a start date for the roof  of two to three weeks.  In the meantime their inhouse contractor began the interior wall demolition and reconstruction.  This was completed ina couple days.  Do to the number of projects around town the roofers were backed up, but were able to start in just 10 days and the gutter contractors just days after the roof was completed.   The whole project was completed and cleaned up by July 23rd.
