CARPET EXCHANGE

Installers were not Good. Very Bad , broke wooden basebroad, tile has lumps in it. Did not even call them back to fix. No point. Very unhappy with the whole experience

We called later to arrange to have them come out & measure & schedule the install.  We were told we needed to put 1/2 down.  If the measurements changed the price significantly, and we chose to cancel, we would be charged $35 for the measuring service.  If we went ahead with the install the measuring would be free.  We were fine with that.

They came & measured & the price went up by $200.  When we asked our salesperson why, we were told they hadn't figured for the metal edging required in places.  Also he said he hadn't figured on any additional carpet, and they always bring extra for to the install to make sure they have enough.  As far as we were concerned, they knew in advance they would need those things, and failed to put them into the estimate.  They said there was nothing they could do for us.  We said we wanted to cancel.

 We noticed the next day that we had been charged $300.  We called & were told it would be taken care of.  2 more days have passed, and the charge still hasn't been reversed.  Called again today & were told it could be another week & there's nothing they could do.  Will never go there again, and definitely won't recommend.  Seems like they low ball the estimate to get the work, and then jack it up later.  Very unhappy!

WHEN THE CREW CAME TO DO THE INSTALLATION, A FRIEND CAME TO LET THEM IN, AS I WAS WORKING DURING THAT DAY. UNFORTUNATELY, THE JOB WASN'T DONE EXACTLY RIGHT AND PART OF THE EXISTING BASEBOARD WAS NOT REMOVED. SO I HAVE ASKED THEM TO COME BACK TO FINISH THE COVE BASE JOB. IT HAS TAKEN A WHILE FOR THEM TO GET THE RETURN VISIT SCHEDULED. I DO NOT BLAME CARPET EXCHANGE FOR THIS PROBLEM DIRECTLY, AS MY SALESMAN HAS TRIED TO BE HELPFUL AND EVEN CONTACTED THE MAIN SUPERVISOR ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. WHILE I WAS HAPPY WITH THE PART THEY DID, THE JOB IS NOT 'FINISHED' YET.

In the showroom we have had the same salesman for several different purchases to the point where we are on a first name bases. Always friendly, always offering a brake in all prices to the point where I'm sure they made money but we also felt good about the deal. The installers were always professional, on time and did excellent work.

THIS WAS OUR SECOND TIME BUYING FROM THIS STORE. AGAIN THEY DID A GREAT JOB FOR US. THE SALESMAN SPENT TIME EXPLAINING THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FLOORING. WE HAD ALOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT INSTALLATION SINCE WE WERE DOING IT OURSELF. THE SALESMAN TOOK TIME ON THIS AND DID NOT MAKE US FEEL HURRIED OR PRESSURED TO USE THEIR INSTALLERS.

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH OUR NEW CARPETING. THE SALESMAN WAS GREAT. HE HAD US TRY OUT THE PAD BAREFOOT AND WITH SHOES TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE WHICH WAS VERY HELPFUL IN OUR DECISION MAKING PROCESS. THE INSTALLERS WERE PROMPT AND EFFICIENT.

THE CARPET EXCHANGE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL. THEY TOOK THE TIME TO SHOW US WHAT THEY HAD TO OFFER. THEY WERE VERY POLITE, FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. THE CREW THAT INSTALLED THE CARPET DID A GREAT JOB.

CARPET EXCHANGE WAS THE COMPANY WE DECIDED TO GO WITH AFTER WE SHOPPED AROUND. THEN AFTER THE JOB WAS STARTED WE RAN INTO A FEW PROBLEMS WITH THE SALESMAN GETTING SICK AND THINGS WERE DONE ON THE SCHEDULE WE HAD AGREED ON. THINGS JUST DID NOT GO LIKE WE HAD HOPED THEY WOULD. THIS FAIRLY SIMPLE JOB TOOK WAY TOO LONG.

THE SALESMAN AT THE STORE WAS VERY HELPFUL. HE WAS ABLE TO FIND A CARPET THAT WOULD GO GREAT WITH WHAT WE NEEDED. THE INSTALLERS WERE JUST AS WONDERFUL. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON OUR CARPET.
