The company did a great job on regular concrete. We are very happy with the sidewalk. On the other project, not a good result. We wanted the color of the stamped concrete to blend with the flagstone and asked for their expert opinion in choosing a color. He chose a color that is way to pink and really doesn't blend with the flagstone. Also, when they finished stamping, there was an area in the middle of the concrete (about 2 x 3 feet) that looked different than the rest. The worker claimed that dog poop got on the stamping form and into the concrete, so he tried to get it out and smudged this area. Yes, if there was dog poop that's my goof, but they shouldn't have thrown the form into the grass and used if again without checking it. The company wouldn't do anything to fix the problems. So, here we are 10 months later and trying to do something to make the concrete look better without tearing it out and starting over again. As we are trying to fix it, we are getting angry at what we were left with and how much money it cost, so I'm writing this review.

Robert talked me into sealing it for a 20% discount on the sealant. Concrete work was great. The sealant was what I paid for, about 80% coverage. Didn't know that was going to happen. Looked like whom ever did it was in a hurry and did a sub par job. Seem to be getting the run around from the office and Robert

Roger Barlett was great to work with, very professional, showed up on or before the appointed times and worked well with his crew. The job took 3 days and came out beautifully!! We could drive and park on the concrete within a week. I couldn't be more pleased. His crew was hard working, polite and even made a point of not stepping on my flowers in the flowerbed. I highly recommend their work.

The weather was an obstacle, but Roger communicated with us through out, the guys got there, did the work and we are so happy to finally have this fixed. We are about to put our house on the market and this was a great price compared to three other bids we got. The front looks great and the patio now slopes away from the house and solved a major drainage problem. Roger took the time to make sure the slope would be fixed - he knew what he was doing. The referral process is the only way to go.

Robert and his team are great. Very punctual and easy to work with. Help us design the step from the deck onto the patio, as well as designed the sidewalk going to the back gate. The fire pit is wonderful. We have used the patio and pit a ton this summer and really love it. We received bids from 2 other companies and their price and level of communication were better than anyone else.

They were very punctual, professional and efficient. They moved the items in the garage that were in their way, they tore out the old concrete, framed, and put down rebar. Rain pulled them off the job so they came back to pour. They were very respectful of my property and cleaned up very well after themselves. Robert Hoffschneider communicated with me throughout the whole process and supervised the tear out. Eric Hoffschneider was responsible for the pouring and overall appearance of the completed work. He was very courteous and personable and explained everything to me I need to know about how long to stay off the concrete and maintain the concrete for longevity, etc. They did an excellent job overall and I am very pleased. Everything looks beautiful. I would definitely recommend Affordable Concrete to friends.

Replaced an old wooden deck with a concrete patio. We got a handful of quotes and the only one cheaper than Affordable had bad reviews. Affordable was significantly cheaper than the other highly reviewed places so we decided to save the money since most of the reviews on here were very positive. Robert was very responsive and even gave us the suggestion to put our old deck on Craig's List where we got rid of it without having to pay for demo saving us even more money. Estimated start date was given about 5-6 weeks from contract which was accurate. The deck was removed about a month before construction and after it was demoed, we informed them of some rot with the siding and a few other minors concerns we had (tree roots, old small concrete pad, drainage, etc). I couldn't see how bad the rot was due to the old concrete pad/step being there and we had a siding guy come by who suggested we remove the remaining siding around the step and put a piece of flash down behind the new concrete step up against the house so I mentioned this to Robert to make sure I would have time to do this after demo and before new concrete was poured. They showed up on time early in the morning both days. Day 1 (Thursday) was prep which included old concrete demo, framing, and digging of drainage pipe from the house under the sidewalk. The drain was an additional $150 and no other issues were brought up before or after the prep which was done by lunch (we were at work and not there during process). After we got home, the step framed had already been attached to the house and I was unable to attach the flash to the house. I called and was told that the rot shouldn't be an issue. I'm not an expert so I'll assume that was okay until the siding guy comes back out next week. We once again brought up the siding/rot issue on day 2 (Friday) when the concrete arrived but again told it should be no concern. The concrete was done by mid morning and everything looks good. I only know what I've read about concrete so I'll assume everything is quality until something over time tells me otherwise. We were not contacted at any point through the process to question or validate anything. I bring this up because a sprinkler hose was disconnected and now has to be laid over the concrete, a cover on an outdoor outlet was broken off without mention, and a couple of brand new boards I had bought for a fence (worth $25) where taken and they were clearly laid behind another fence panel well out of the way. I did call about this but nothing and feel it's not worth the effort to pursue further. To summarize:and gt; The price, punctuality, and responsiveness were greatand gt; Quality is fine as far as I can telland gt; The only real issue I had was that it was clear that once they got here this was a business project that had a set schedule and didn't get the feeling that our best interests were taken into account. I understand that a business, especially one dealing with home projects needs to run on a set schedule to maintain profitability but the drain ditch was done extremely poorly and the post project cleanup was less than desired. I had to walk around picking up at least 30 nails and remove maybe 60-80 lbs of left over materials from the demo/construction. It would have been nice to have been told about the broken outlet cover and asked about the sprinkler connection and fence boards.

Affordable Concrete came yesterday and removed the old concrete, leveled the driveway with dirt and put in rebar. Apparently part of my sprinkler line was run through the concrete when it was originally put in so they had to remove the hose for one section of the sprinkler and dig a ditch to put in PCV to run a new hose through (additional to total cost of project and I thought cost was a little high.) They did try to contact me prior to doing removing the line but I wasn't available. Since I would have approved it anyway it wasn't an issue - there was a msg on my home phone. Today they came and laid the pipe for the section of the sprinkler they had to remove and poured and finished the driveway. They came when they said they would, did a beautiful job, were responsive to all my questions and concerns, gave me detailed instructions for care, cleaned up after themselves and were very professional. I would recommend them. I chose them because although their bid was comparable to the others I got, they provided more by going a little further and replacing a section of my sidewalk leading to my front porch. I am optimistic about the future of my driveway.

I did my search on Angies list and Robert at Affordable concrete was quick to respond and very thorough in detailing what his company could do for me. Once here his crew was very courteous and did a great job, as expected Robert was very helpful in his follow-up advice. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for concrete work!

I would highly recommend Affordable concrete for your job. We had a small area that we needed fixed and therefore, did not meet many of the companies minimum spending requirement. Affordable concrete was the only company that was willing to work with us. Additionally, they completed the job very quickly and it turned out great. Thanks for working with us, we are very happy with the results!

Roger was on time with every appointment. The work they did was very neat and clean. He listened to what I wanted and the work turned out exactly as I had hoped. His price was very reasonable and the estimate was exactly what I paid... no hidden fees. I was very pleased and will recommend him to neighbors and friends in the future.

Amazing job by the crew at Affordable Concrete. Eric and his crew came out on a Friday afternoon and broke out the old concrete steps that were attached to the front of my house, and replaced them the next day with new concrete. I highly recommend them if you need concrete work.

All was done per the agreement. My issue is how stupid I was to agree to pay $750.00 for something that can only cost $50.00 in material and 30 minutes in labor.

Don't pay for the "sealer".

They came out to look at the floor and supply a proposal. I was told everything that would be done and given a price. I called later to schedule a time and was called back with a time of they would perform the work.
The original date had to be rescheduled due to weather. On the rescheduled date, the crew showed up and removed the old section of concrete, hauled everything away, and prepped for the next days pour. The next day, they sowed up before the concrete truck to make sure everything was ready, poured the new concrete, and make sure it was all smooth and level. At the end, they went over all I needed to know about how long I needed to let it cure and how soon I could do anything on it. They didn't leave until I was was clear on everything.
I can't comment on cost, since they were the only one's I contacted. I was satisfied with their presentation and decided to use them regardless of cost. I don't feel the cost would have been much different with other companies.

Did an excellent job, and the new driveway looks great. They arrived on time and completed work on schedule. The crew was very polite, and cleaned up the site well. They were also careful to explain what follow up action should be taken to extend the life of the concrete.

Roger Bartlett was very good about keeping me informed via phone and email. The work was done over two days. Roger made two suggestions which I feel improved the quality of the job. First he said it would be less likely to damage my other existing porch if they broke up the old part with sledge hammers instead of jack hammers. He also decided to use a fiber concrete rather than the regular stuff to provide greater strength. All the work was done in a timely manner. I would use his company again. Highly recommended.

Robert was prompt and responded quickly for a price quote . He was clear about what the price included and what would be an additional cost if the situation arose during the tear out process. I got a competitors bid in addition to Affordable and my choice was made by Roberts ability to listen to what I wanted and not suggest something I really did not want. Robert and his crew did a great job. They did a few small extra items at no additional charge. I have future concrete needs and I will use Affordable again.

I had a good experience with Affordable Concrete. Robert was persistent in keeping in touch with me after submitting his bid. I really appreciated his follow-up, and ultimately ended up hiring Affordable. They showed up on time, and got the job done really fast (1-1/2 days), and cleaned up the mess. The concrete is still drying since I just had it done, but it appears they did a good job. His bid was a little high, but he was willing to negotiate a better price for me, which I really appreciated.

Really well!  Roger was awesome and has great customer service!  I had called several contractors to get estimates, and on my first go round NO ONE called me back.  I called Roger and he responded immediately, showed up at the prescribed time to bid, answered my emails quickly and scheduled the job with no problems.  We had some delays due to weather, and when his crew was going to be late one morning, he came by personally to tell me!  Their price was competitive, but honestly, you just can't beat Roger's service!

Nothing too complicated, but Roger and his crew did a great job and met all of our expectations.  There were some communication problems in that the bid was not exactly what we discussed, but we traded a few phone calls to iron out the details and in the end, all was performed exactly as we wanted.  They arrived at the scheduled time, performed the work quickly and accurately and left the premises without a trace of their having been there (except for the new concrete pad, of course).
