Filter reviews by service
"I've never worked for or met anyone named "Scooter M." Anyone who needs to hide behind a pseudonym to leave a review, calls into question that person's integrity in doing so. Also, a contract doesn't "lock" anyone into anything. It can be ended at any time as long as any outstanding balances are paid in full. It lays out expectations for both the customer as well as the provider so you know, in detail what to expect, and prevent miscommunications or assumptions which lead to problems down the road. The contract has been developed over more than a decade of experience, to pre-emptively address and prevent issues that have arisen in the past. Please explain what your issue was with the "quality of the work" specifically? Especially given that the damage I was hired to replace was a result of your previous pool company installing the pool filter BACKWARDS!! So, What work specifically? What was not installed to code and functioning as described as the contract lays out? I have pictures of every maintenance stop performed as well. If you are going to trash my company in public, the least you could do is to be clear about the problem for other clients to evaluate fairly or for me to respond to. Job security is no issue, as I have a waiting list of new clients I can't even service now due to a full schedule. But it seems like your issue is with a contract that lays out all of the terms of service ahead of time. You tried NOT paying me for work, AFTER approving the written estimate after 4 months of consideration and you didn't like the consequences of that action which were laid out up front in the contract. If you didn't like the terms, why did you agree to it? Because you thought you were just going to stiff me after the job was done? The contract is written in very basic plain English and NOT legal jargon. A letter is sent UP FRONT with the contract every single year BEGGING the customer to read the contract and ask any questions PRIOR TO SIGNING it, and that signing that contract is agreeing to the terms AS IS WRITTEN. Nobody FORCED you to agree to those terms. Just because it doesn't say "Mastercard" or "Amex" on the top of the contract doesn't mean you can just do things how you want and blame them on the service provider for holding you to the contract you signed, and make you pay for work you approved in writing. Especially when I worked for your client for 7 years with no problems across 4 other people who all previously held your job with absolutely NO issues. Then you asked to see MY cost on my materials, which I would not show you. And when you told me that was unreasonable, I asked you to find any other business that will show you THEIR costs. McDonalds. Home Depot. Etc., and you never returned with 1 business! It would never OCCUR to you to ask home depot what THEIR cost on an item is, and what the markup is. You get a soda at McDonalds and pay 300%+ markup and don't say a word about it. I don't charge NEARLY that kind of markup, but The fact that I'm a small business, does NOT entitle you to bully me into changing my pricing as YOU see fit. If you don't want to pay for something at the cost I charge, all you have to say is "No thanks". Not go on my page and try and damage my livelihood and my business while hiding your identity, or providing specific details. To any future customer reading this review? If you have any hesitation or concern based on this review? Please feel free to reach out to me directly, and I will provide you with all of the specifics of this situation, including messages, emails, dates and documents to show you the unabridged details of what happened with this client and what was said, how and when, so you can make your own fair assessment of the situation before making a decision on the company that's right for you."
