PRACTICAL DETAIL

Grant spent a lot of time working out the details of what I wanted and needed, giving me his opinions when I asked as I wasn't sure if what I was asking for was going to be something that would work.  I have been extremely satisfied with his time involved making sure everything was going to be perfect.  He has taken his time, not just throwing things together as I have had happen before.  His meticulous work and his attitude toward the job have been appreciated.  I had him build an extension off my roof over my patio.  I wanted it to look like it was an original part of the house and he has done that perfectly.  No one that sees the house would know it was built on after the fact.  I am very very happy with the job and him and will absolutely ask him to do any project  in the future and recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

Grant was great to work with. We wanted to do some of the work ourselves and had a hard time finding someone to work with us on that. Grant was quite happy to do that and it worked out very well. I actually worked with him on the plumbing and electrical.

He's very conscientious of his work. He took extra time on the basement framing (that I'm sure was challenging at times) to make sure it was perfect. Grant was also very careful with all phases to make sure things were up to code.

Initially, we had a big empty basement. We had an idea of what we wanted to do, but had never done anything like this before. On our initial consultation with Grant he had several great suggestions on what do do with the space and he continued with great suggestion/recommendations throughout the process.

Of course with any project there are things that come up. I like to know my options and what the impact of each would be. We had several discussion of this sort along the way and Grant was great about laying things out for me and listening to my ideas too. He never seemed to tire of my questions.

I can't say enough about his quality of work and willingness to partner with his clients.

Because I'm talking about multiple small-to-major projects over a number of years, the proof of the pudding is that I keep rehiring him to work on my projects because I'm more than satisfied with what I get. Grant Kimball (Practical Detail) gives you what you want from a contractor but rarely get.
