Rocky Mountain Saunas

Well, they had a very helpful website with lots of pictures and information (including prices) about their saunas that proved to be very accurate. So many other companies did not have very helpful websites, very few pictures and required you to call for details. Rocky Mountain Saunas also had several helpful Youtube videos that helped in our decision to go with them. Once we decided to go with them, we called and the sales person was very friendly, helpful and not at all pushy. I called back a couple of times before deciding to make purchase. The sauna arrived a day or so earlier than expected which was nice (my wife wanted it right away). The boxes were laying over with the banding digging into the boxes. Didn't look like the picture shown on the website said it would. I don't think the truck they came on was actually equipped for this large of a package even with the lift gate. But, he managed to get it off the truck with some help from the neighbor and into garage. After opening all the boxes, the sauna turned out to be fine inside the packaging. We moved it piece by piece into basement and it assembled relatively quickly and easy (about an hour or so). The front piece has trim on the edges. So, it's important to take care in moving these pieces. SInce this is a pre-fabricated sauna, we weren't sure what to expect with quality. We were pleasantly surprised. Some of the wall sections are fitted to the floor and each other with interlocking hardware while the larger back walls are fastened to each other and the front wall pieces with long secure machine screws. This was a major selling point. Many other companies seemed to be snap together with no screws. The interlocking hardware between the walls was good and secure while the interlocking hardware on the floor wasn't real secure. So, moving this thing once assembled is not recommended without applying all pressure to the base only (not the walls) and the instructions state this. I did move it a bit by pushing on the base only and it went fine. Keep in mind, this is a heavy piece of furniture, once assembled. Once assembled this was nice piece of furniture; functional and comfortable. Big enough for my wife and I. My wife loves it and uses it often. Our basement flooded in July. So, we had to dis-assemble it and move it to garage until basement was cleaned up. I moved it back and assembled it again in no time. So, it is sturdy enough to be dis-assembled and re-assembled without much trouble. The lighting for this sauna is really nice. The radio is nothing spectacular - but, it is fine. It came with an air purifier that burned out after the first use. I'm sure they'd replace it. But, we haven't bothered. It can take up to a half hour to warm up to temperature. But, this didn't bother us once we figured out about how long beforehand to turn it on. It gets plenty hot! And provides a very relaxing environment. If I was going to buy another sauna, I would very likely go with Rocky Mountain Sauna again.
