One-Eyed-Jacks

I hired One-Eyed-Jacks for two different jobs and was extremely satisfied with both. First I had some electrical issues going on with some old wiring in my house so I hired Keith to help me with that. It is nice that he charges by the hour because it only took him a couple hours to find and fix the problem. I probably would've paid triple if I had hired one of the big electric companies. Then he built a small deck in our backyard which turned out great. We were on a tight budget for the project so Keith worked with me to estimate his time and roughly what the materials were going to cost. He was very friendly and easy to work with. I really appreciated his attention to detail and how thorough he was with the project. I don't like getting the high pressure car salesman bit, or feeling like I'm not sure what I'm paying for with contractors, so it was very refreshing to find Keith. He was honest and straightforward with all the costs. If you have a small to medium project I highly recommend One-Eyed-Jacks.

Preparing to place our house on the market. Used Keith's services for tile work in utility room, and two bathrooms. We had used Keith in October of 2013 to tile our kitchen floor and we're extremely pleased with his workmanship . In addition to the above Keith built a new gate for our backyard entry as well as some painting. Keith takes his time to produce an excellent result .

One-Eyed-Jacks is working with me now. He was very prompt with getting back with me as far as being able to come out and giving me estimate and pretty prompt with communication. Most of the places that I contacted never contacted me back. My first impression, I think he's conscientious, as far as I have questions, he's knowledgeable about understanding things that need to be bought to code like electrical. One of the reasons I went with him, he's an individual working and he's not working with a large crew. He's got some designs and can give me some advice. I felt like there was more of a personal relationship developing that I cam work with him so I like it. He's motivated, he works with me as a client and my needs. He showed up at the time he said he was going to be here.

We are satisfied with the overall work and very reasonable price. He is very professional and good with detail. The whole project is a bit over than the estimate, probably because we change some of the things we want. It seems to us that the best way to communicate with Keith is via e-mail. Normally if I called, I need to left a message. However, if I left a message or e-mail, I will get response within a day. Thank you Keith.

Overall the service was very good. I would recommend them. The cost was very reasonable.

OEJ's came to our house to look at the bathroom and the house overall and gave us a thorough assessment. He spent 1-2 hours explaining to us what would happen, how long it would take and how much it would cost.  He gave us an approximate date and communicated when dates or times might change.  When he started the job, he communicated daily about what was happening, what changes were coming up and what decisions needed to be made. He was efficient and helpful when decisions needed to be made.

Keith did an excellent job, and the results are fantastic. This was a 'long-haul' install, which took two months to complete; he works alone, and this old house is always presenting unexpected problems along the way.  He is a perfectionist, particularly with electrical work and tiling; as we were 'camp-cooking' in the basement, and the kitchen bisects the house, we were often impatient and wanting to 'push' - he always dealt with us in good humor, and did the work properly.  We asked for a lot of unusual items - the custom pantry, wood counter tops, tile floor with underfloor heat - and all in a large old room with no insulation, bad flooring, faulty wiring, and so on -he dealt with it all, and us besides.  Including previous projects, he's transformed our plumbing and electricity, and his tile work is quite honestly the best I've ever seen.  We're working together on more projects, reviews to follow.

He did a very good job. He's not super fast, but the quality is excellent. Very methodical. I really appreciated it. Also a nice guy.

I had told Keith to arrive at 10:00am so that I can leave for my 10:30am appointment. Keith arrived well before 10:00am so that I could leave for my appointment in time. That was very nice and thoughtful of him.

He completed everything I asked him to do in reasonable amount of time and with perfection. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I used him and he is great. The experience with him went very well.  He is just real handy; he can do all kinds of stuff.  He is great and he is very competent. He knows what he needs to do.  The ones he put a couple of years ago were really difficult because it was an older house and he had to go up in the attic and rig up some stuff.  He just did a perfect job.  His price was fair. 

 One Eyed Jack was very personable and  knowledgeable in the tasks he performed. He was friendly and stayed on task and cleaned up after the job was finished.

More than anything I think that Keith is conscientious and trustworthy.  He does good work and charges a fair price.  We plan to have him back to do more work this summer.

Overall, it went very well.

Our list was much longer than our budget, so he just worked as many items as he could for the number of hours we had allocated. Then, he came back the next month and worked on some more.

The work was performed in an efficient manner for a reasonable price.

He worked quietly and efficiently. He demonstrated the outcome of each task and what had needed to be done.

The work was completed in a timely manner based on the weather conditions (we had to delay several times due to bad weather) and it turned out exactly as we imagined. HIs estimate was spot on and there were no hidden costs to the overall project.

Everything went well. The new sink size and position did require an unexpected modification of the black PVC drain which was also performed in a very high quality manner. It would have been a three hour job but with the needed modification of the main drain position, it was four hours and about $20 in parts (white and black PVC). This was a very good value as the $165 included all labor and the extra black PVC parts needed. No leaks and everything works well.
