Worst company we have ever interacted with.
Company came out to do furnace check up and we were told that we allegedly needed a hot surface ignitor which they allegedly fixed that day. A week later, conveniently during a blizzard, carbon monoxide detectors go off in our home and we call the company back to check out what is going on with the furnace. They arrive with a price list in hand for a new furnace and was greeted with "well you need a new furnace". My husband asked them to at least look at the furnace or do a carbon monoxide test to determine if this was even the correct diagnosis. After prodding for an actual examination, the tech returned from the crawlspace and said he was lightheaded from all the carbon monoxide (which is not a side effect for carbon monoxide exposure) and that yes the "test came back positive". This was a lie since carbon monoxide readings are done in PPM, not just positive and negative. He was unable to supply any PPM reading. Furthermore, the tech said we had a cracked heat exchanger that was causing the carbon monoxide leak.
We turned off the furnace at their advice and evacuated the house, hoping the pipes would not freeze before getting to the bottom of this on a near zero snowy day. Three other companies came out to the house to evaluate the issue and all three checked the furnace in depth and reported that there was NOTHING wrong with the furnace, not even the alleged cracked heat exchanger. Xcel ran over 30 carbon monoxide readings and reported there was no possible leak. By 10pm, we were able to return home with our young daughter and reheat the home.
Beyond being dishonest, they used fear tactics in an attempt to elicit a multi-thousand dollar sale on a furnace they knew we did not need. They even played the "for the safety of your family" card. Its unbelievable they are still in business.
Furthermore, after these other companies reported no issues with the furnace we contacted the company to share our experiences. Work was initially done on December 23, carbon monoxide issue was Dec 29. I understand and will give them the benefit of the doubt with New Years, but here it is February 11 and they still have refused to contact us. We have called in over 20 times and left messages with the same response every time from their poor secretary "I will make sure we get back to you today".
Having to pay out nearly $430 for work that we didn't need, and another $500 for other companies to come out and certify we weren't going to die of carbon monoxide poisoning without even a call back from the company is disheartening and beyond aggravating. I could think of better ways to spend $1000 than to be lied to face to face.
Also, on Dec 23 we asked for a pipe in the crawlspace to be insulated. They "insulated it" with spray foam and it froze the following week.
Steer clear of this company if you value your time and money or if you still have faith in humankind.

"The customer called at 1:00 am and said she had no heat. We had a set appointment set for 3 days from then at $49.00, but because it was after hours and an emergency we charge $69.00. She said that was fine because she needed heat ASAP. Our Tech did a very thorough inspection and found the the original company that installed the furnace did not install the proper size flue pipe and as a result it would ice up and clog the flue pipe. The furnace has a safety feature that shuts off the furnace until the flue pipe is cleared. We advised the customer that we could replace the flue with the proper size, But it might be better to have the original company finish the job they were payed for. I spoke to Member at least 10 times about all of her options and which one was the best for her situation. And we both agreed that the original company was responsible for finishing the original install."
