We love the quietness of the windows. The problem for me is the customer service! I have sent pictures to our representative, Aliana, for the poor caulking that was done. No apology or how can we fix this. My husband has to paint all the inside window openings and spackle 2 or more window areas. Nothing but excuses were given by the rep and the installer Sergio. We had 24 windows installed. My husband is busy all day today fixing their mess. We have to rent scaffling to repaint the siding. I am one very unhappy customer. I would not recommend this company for anything. All they had to do was apologize and have a reasonable offer for a solution. Our rep is not helping. I would have requested a different person had I had more informantion or did my due diligence on checking her out. I am not an easy customer because I do expect a profressional job when paying thousands and thousands of dollars to make our house nicer. If you can't do it right then don't do it all as the saying goes! Nancy Fjugstad update as of 10-29-2024 I am updating my experience with K&H. The inside of windows was taken care of by masking and painting. The manager came out to look at the caulk job on the outside. He agreed the job was bad. He had 2 men come out and they did a terrific job. Thank you for fixing the bad caulk job. One less stress gone!!

From the beginning working with Mike the salesperson to Darren the installer went smoothly. Our house is older and gave Darren some challenges but he did a great job and we are very pleased.

WOULD NOT HONOR WARRANTY. When 6 of 12 window seals failed, I called the company to ask about the lifetime warranty. I was told that the company that made the windows (the company that K&H specified and purchased the windows from) was out of business and that they would not honor the warranty on the windows. They would honor the installation, but not the windows that have failed. They specified the manufacturer, they specified the windows, they installed them, but they will not honor their warranty. I paid for the windows and the warranty, which is essentially worthless. Cost was high as I thought the company would stand behind their products. Wrong.
Response from K & H Home Solutions
"I'm sorry to say that this homeowner is either mixed up or has K&H confused with another window company with whom he did business. This homeowner did purchase windows from K&H Home Solutions on 10/6/1999. He purchased 12 windows manufactured by Republic Windows, with Heat Mirror Glass, for $5,518. His warranty on those windows was the manufacturer's lifetime limited warranty, which was passed through to him, along with a standard 1 year installation warranty, which our records show was extended to a lifetime installation warranty. At the time of purchase the lifetime warranty was explained to him and disclosed in his contract that the parts warranty was covered by the manufacturer. He even received a warranty form from Republic Windows upon payment of his contract. He contacted us in 2007 and 2010 about purchasing additional windows but chose not to purchase from K&H either of those times. Republic Windows went out of business November 2008 as a casualty of the economic downturn and unfortunately with it went the homeowner's lifetime limited warranty. When he contacted K&H in February 2010 and July 2011 this was explained to him by K&H's staff as well as K&H's President. We explained that he would have to pay for the replacement glass cost and we would cover the cost of installation. His assertion of purchasing windows from K&H on 8/1/2005 for $15,000 is either a mistake or a fabrication! If he purchased windows on that date for that much money it was not from K&H. If, as he contends, it was K&H he needs to produce a copy of the contract, which he has not done. We have no record of even having any discussions with him in 2005. After his purchase in 1999 our next communication with him was July 2007. This detail is important due to the seriousness of his accusation against us. In K&H's opinion this is not a valid complaint and should be removed from our record unless the homeowner can produce a copy of that contract for our review. After speaking to the homeowner today, 8/30/2017, I confirmed that he guessed on the dates and amounts he stated in this complaint. He agreed that they are erroneous and outrageously exaggerated apparently to enhance their effect on potential readers."

they sold them selves as and quot;different than the restand quot; because they have been in business locally for 58 years and can be trusted. I paid $35,000 for the siding and in 6 months it was buckling and now popping off my house. I have called them numberous time to resolve and NEVER ONCE have they taken the time to call me and tell me how they are planning on fixing this. I would not recommend using this company at all, at this point I feel like they took $35K out of my pocket and delivered a shoddy product.

They helped us pick out a door. It has a side light. Then, they set a time for installation. They do good work. They maybe a little bit more expensive than some that we were checking at the time. They were courteous and did a good job putting in the door.

They had to go above and beyond the call of duty to find the color, because it is not beige, it is blue, they had to hunt the color and got the repair done. They worked with the insurance as well. She had a car insurance, and therefore her insurance has to pay to repair our property, but it was very reasonable. We asked for the guy who put the siding in the first place, and he still works with them, which says a lot, because we have dealt with them for over 20 years. We just love him, he is fabulous.

I chose someone else to do business with. I think they were fine. I liked the price and the service that the other company was going to provide. The experience with K&H was okay, I wasn't turned off by them. Their price wasn't outlandish.

The rep was more interested in selling what he wanted to sell, vs. asking us what we wanted. We had a specific need, a patio door. But he wanted to show us all his window specials. When the rep walked in, he went to the kitchen pulled out a chair, moved things and stacked things on my table and sat down opening up his kit. Without being invited to sit, my husband and I were still standing. I was very uncomfortable.

K and H put my upstairs windows in about 10 years ago.  They are lifetime guaranteed.  I had some siding
peeling off and they came over and fixed it right away.  However the best part is that they fixed the basement windows for me as well.  K and H did not install them and they had not been installed correctly.  I was very impressed that K and H would do this for me even though they were not their windows.  Marion did a super job; he was very professional and punctual.  Everything from the beginning including sales, installations, and repairshas been professional and I will continue to use them in the future.

They are fabulous. I can't say enough about them. They are just the greatest company. They are so honest. The crew was exquisite. They did a beautiful and thorough job. They cleaned the thing up every day. They cleaned the whole site when they were done. The price was competitive. As a matter of fact, at the end we even had an issue because they actually ran out of the siding; they didn’t order enough. It wasn’t any big deal; we weren't in a huge hurry or anything, but it was a delay. They had to put plastic over the front of the house till more came in as they had stripped off the old siding. We got blue and nobody buys blue; everybody buys beige. So it wasn’t like they had any extra to get around. At the end, he gave us a little price break because we were inconvenienced. We actually heard about them on the radio. They are in Arvada, which is where we live. So they were local, and it was really convenient. We had called a couple of other ones. We had gotten at least two other bids. I was so blown away by their salesman to begin with. He was great. The whole thing was great from the people on the phone to the salesman, the crew and finally at the end to the owner. Everybody was just great.

the whole experience was very good.  the salesman was very knowlegdable.  the contracters were promt, and professional, they went out of their way to complete the job in time for a family gathering we were hosting.  the doors and windows they installed are beautiful.  we were very happy with their work and products.   after completion there was some repairs, that were completed in a timely and professional manner.  overall we were completely satisfied with their work and highly would recommend them.

We've been using them for twenty plus years now. They are always good about coming back if anything were to happen and don't charge us for it. If a window breaks or any bubbles come between the glass they come back and replace them. They are under warranty. I highly recommend them for their services.

The installation went relatively well.  In doing some additional checking (and replacing 14 additional windows later), the company is definitely at the high end of pricing, more expensive than others.
The windows were mostly as stated and fit relatively well.  If I had written this review at the time of installation, it would have been much higher.  But there were some things that were not completed as stated, and several nagging problems that the company has not, and now refuses, to fix.
There was a set of 6 windows that were installed as one unit.  The installation was completed, but several holes were drilled in the frames to screw them together, and the holes were never plugged.  They said that they would send the appropriate plugs, which they never did.  Also, one of the windows "whistles" in high winds due to air leakage, and we can't get it to stop.  Not nice at 2 AM when you're trying to sleep.
But the biggest problem is that at least 6 of the windows have had the seals fail, and I suspect a seventh.  When I called K&H to complain about the windows, they stated that the company that manufactured the windows was no longer in business, and they would not honor their full lifetime warranty on the windows.  It was their decision on who to use for the manufacturer of the windows, and should be their responsibility on standing behind the warranty I *thought* I got.
In short, the company does fairly good installation work, but is somewhat overpriced for what you get.  And forget about them standing behind their products if (when) you have an issue with the windows.  Once you have finalized the bill, forget about them ever following up on any warranty work.  Because trust me, once they have your money, they've forgotten about you!  Which is why, when it came to replacing the rest of the windows in the house, a neighbor and I did them for much less with a much better quality window.

I actually ordered a door in August and they finally installed it in November. The reason for the delay was that they were trying to find a very good door from their manufacturer and it took that long time for them to receive the door, which wasn't really their fault. But it was quite a delay. They provided a really good product and the installation went well.

Excellent.  Estimator arrived promptly and returned when we were ready to sign a few days later, leaving a box of color samples with us.
installation crew was very professional and finished a day earlier than quoted.  When the building inspector flagged some caulking they returned immediately to fix it and we passed inspection the second time.

The reason for this review is due to a follow up we requested as we had trouble remembering how to perform a particular function with our windows. Marion came out and showed me again what to do & how to do it and didn't leave until I was sure I could handle the issue in the future. They are a top notch company to work with & came out to help almost a whole year after the windows had been installed and did so at no charge to us. I would definitely recommend them for any type of work that they do.
