Just a response.

Ken was prompt for his initial consultation, had the right tools to provide an estimate and even brought some samples for me to look at. About 2 days after the consultation I contacted Ken to get the worked going as I wanted him to do the job. I left him a message and no response. I called again 2 days later and still no response? My suspicion is my job was too small for him and didn't involve enough $. Too bad for him as I have many other projects at that rental and my personal property.

If we want a job to be done beautifully AND correctly, we call Hillyard Construction. Ken is always prompt and is very professional in every way. He is very skilled, and takes pride in his work. He is meticulous about doing the work correctly, and is very respectful of our property. For example, the flooring in the master bath sloped into the toilet area. Ken could have just gone ahead and installed the toilet, but he didn't. Instead he raised up and leveled the flooring before installing the toilet. Likewise in the shower area. Ken also expanded the shower so we could have more elbow room, re-plumbed the shower, and beautifully tiled its interior. He also redid the plumbing for the vanity and tiled the entire bathroom floor. Ken has a great work ethic---he arrived at 9 am each morning, and worked into the early early evening, sometimes finishing up over a weekend. We have used Ken for years whenever we need to update or replace something. He always has helpful information and guides us through the process. He is very easy to work with, and is non-judgmental. He has been willing to take on any size project for us, even small ones, and is willing to work with our budget. Ken has never disappointed us.
