Darlene's Pet Sitting Services

Darlene has been caring for my cat and my home for over a year. She pet/house sits for me about once a month for 3-7 days. She is the best. I just drop her an email about when we will be gone and she knows where our key is. I never have to worry about my cat or my home, she takes care of everything like it was her own. My cat requires two different kinds of meds twice per day and she doesn't charge me extra for those. In the summer she waters my plants also. I don't have to worry while I'm gone as I always come home to a well cared for home and a happy kitty. Her rates are incredibly competitive also.

I feel her prices are very appropriate. I would highly recommend her! We moved so unfortunately we cannot use her service anymore. If we still lived in the area, we would use her without a doubt.

Darlene's service is great. We work with Darlene's mom who sits our two dogs. There have been times when we are working late and we have called to ask that they go feed the dogs with never a problem.

For at least two days of the week, they did not stop by and they occasions where they did stop by they stayed minimally, just a couple minutes. I could tell this because of the log on my security system.  I made them aware of this and Darlene did not have a response.  They prices are very good but it was the first and last time I will use this pet sitting service.

When I contacted Darlene, it took her a few days to get back to me.  When she finally called, she explained that she had been on vacation, so was delayed in responding to my voice-mail message.  (Would have been better to change her voice mail greeting to let new customers they wouldn't hear back from her until a specified date.)  
Nevertheless, we set an appointment for a day or two later at my home.  Darlene arrived early and spent some time greeting and getting to know my dogs.  Then she gave me a thorough briefing on her policies and practices, explained her contract to me, and gave me a copy of her certificate of insurance.  (Nice touch.)  Then she had me complete and discuss complete profiles on each of my dogs -- personality, behaviors, commands they know, etc.  She also collected veterinary info and other emergency contacts.
I provided Darlene with a key to my home, and now send her an e-mail at least a day or two in advance of when I'll need her to provide a potty break.  She confirms quickly, and texts me again after the services have been provided.  I leave a check on the counter for her each time she's going to visit -- no pre-payment or minimum required -- and so far everything has worked out great.  I'm really happy with Darlene's service and am so pleased I found her.

Darlene can watch your house and/or pets when you need it- she is available on short notice and is very reliable. Her business is bonded. She comes to meet your pets and fills out a form detailing what you need before you leave for the first time. She does everything you want while you are gone- very individualized and personal care- and my dog is happy and well taken care of in my absence;in fact my dog runs to the door when she comes so I know she spends time and gives her lots of attention when we are gone. I would highly recommend her for any house and/pet sitting job- very compassionate and pet loving person. I feel fortunate to have found her to care for my dog. Reasonable rates.
