Dark Horse Electric

After receiving a rather large quote from another electrician sent out by my home warranty company, a friend gave me a list of highly rated electricians from Angie's list. I left Brad a message and he promptly called me back. We made an appointment  and he arrived promptly on time and provided me 2 estimates based on 2 possible repair situations. He explained precisely what he would do to identify if option (1) was the problem and an easy fix, and the details of option (2) if necessary. He also showed me how I could identify if option (1) was the problem, which I did and sure enough it was the problem. I contacted Brad with the good news and we made an appointment for the following Saturday for him to come make the repair. He completed the repair perfectly and charged me the quoted amount. He does all his work himself and warrants the work for a year. 
I recommend Brad as an honest, reasonably priced and exceptional electrician and will call upon him immediately with any future electrical needs.

They came out really quickly, and their price was very good. The TV, at least according to my husband, is slightly crooked. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

Spend two three hours could detect the problem. But charged for 2 anyways.

He is the electrician I call. He did the wire diagram so that I could go get the permit.  He ran the internal wires to 20 and put a GFI box on the outside.  He attached the hot tub. He just did a really good job. He was here when he said he was going to be and it cost what he said it would cost.

I contacted them and they quoted $100 for the job. A week later I called for an appointment. I got an answering machine and left a message saying I was ready to schedule the work. After waitng a few days for a response I called them again and left a message. I finally got a call back and we scheduled the work. When they arrived they raised the price to $125. Probably because my wife was there and not me.They installed the fan but left black marks on the white bathroom wall. They also would not take a credit card.

We chatted on the phone and then he came over gave us an estimate to do the job. Did a superb job in the time he said he would. Charged us consistent with the estimate made for the work. I would recommend him highly.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. I left a voicemail around 5pm and received a call back within 30 minutes. It's Tuesday and we were hoping to have the work done before the weekend since we have company coming. I figured it was unlikely since our only availability was on Thursday. He wasn't available that day but offerred to come out the SAME evening. He was at our home within 30 minutes of my call and done with all of the work in just over an hour. It turned out great and the price was easily $50 less than what we thought wer would pay. He even helped my husband get the TV off and back on to the wall and cleaned up the dust left behind.

Brad returned my call quickly and was able to start that same week. He gave us his cost per hour and his estimate of the time he would need for the work. He had to wire the fan in the bathroom and did an excellant job. He called when he needed to put a hole in the wall to be sure it was okay first. He worked non-stop and did a great job. He broke the cost down by the quarter hour so we were not charged for time not spent on a fan or fixture. We are very pleased with his work and will use him again.

Brad is a true professional. He was very punctual, gave an onsight estimate. He cares about his customer, offers suggestions. The completed charges was right on target. Bottom line he did a great job. My wife and I highly recommend Brad. Thanks Brad.

Brad was punctual and professional. He successfully performed the agreed upon job in a timely fashion. He even provided some batteries that I did not include in my supplies. I will use him again in the future.

Bard, the owner of Dark Horse Electric, stopped by on his way back from another client. Realizing it was an easy fix, he fixed it right on the spot.

I also had him come back and install a light fixture. He was nice and personable. He told me exactly what he would be able to do, and he did it. The price was fair and the quality of work was fine. He was also very good about cleaning up after himself. I found Dark Horse Electric to be really good.

Great experience. He was on time, completed the job in the estimated time for the estimated price. He was more expensive than other electricians that I called, but you get what you pay for! I will be calling to use him again soon.

Mr. Stephens did a great job. He did call and tell me he was running late for our appointment. He arrived about 20 minutes later. I showed the detectors that I purchased and he installed them without any problems. He finished early and I asked him to look over my circuit panel. He checked it for loose wires, there were several. We also chatted for a few minutes about my plans for a kitchen remodel. He gave me a couple of suggestions for lighting. He finished within the time alloted and didn't make a mess.

I contacted Brad about a week before he called back, but from that point on he was on site as agreed and performed the work in less time than he initially estimated, so that cut the price as he charges by the hour ($100/hr). He just charges the cost of parts by the receipts from the store, no more. When he said he was going for lunch, he came back in an hour as he stated. He was very careful not to smoke at all around my property as I told him I do not like cigarette smoke in my environment. He was a work horse, (only asking for coffee) and did not take phone calls or waste time chit chatting since he considers himself on the clock and is extremely focused on the job. He made sure I knew he was a master electrician w/ his TDLR # and would stand behind his work and that his reputation among home owners and the Internet community was very important. He was very polite and was easy to have in my house for 7 hrs. Brad consulted with me with placement of the electrical boxes to best meet my needs with his electrical advise as well. Whenever I need to upgrade more of the aluminum circuits I will be sure to contact Brad 1st. He showed me the old aluminum wiring where the old ceiling light had been. The insulation was dry and was cracking away, leaving the wires bare. Definitely an electrical fire risk. He said I was doing the right thing by exchanging that light and changing over to a copper circuit.

Brad came in to finish a job left incomplete by another electrician. He thoroughly reviewed their work, picked up where they left off and finished the job. Brad was fair, made a couple of suggestions about how to have the electrical run better. When we inquired about a new outlet in the garage for our recirculation pump for the hot water heater, he said he didn't believe it was worth the cost that it would take to do it. Brad was competent, thorough, fair and I will have no hesitation recommending him to my friends.
