Their bid was competititve and they came highly recommended. My frustration was in scheduling. I expected them on a Friday in June. I took vacation from work, rescheduled all my appointments, and planned my week around it. Their other job ran late so they couldn't make it, then it started raining so it was too muddy.
They made time for the work in July. I couldn't be here for the forms, and they weren't exactly what I wanted but close. I had them move a line (concrete is about as permanent as you get in landscaping). They reanchored the form, which was closer but not quite right, so I spraypainted what I wanted on the grass since I couldn't be here for the final pour. I'm not sure whether they moved the form closer to my spray paint line or not,. I think so, but it's still not quite right. Everyone who sees it tells me how nice it looks.
The lines are straight and the curves are well done. Art has an adorable employee who tried to saved one of my rose bushes and was really nice. It it hadn't been for this one employee, I wouldn't have been so happy. He was quite eager to please while the other employee I ran into threatened to charge me $200 to move a line. That didn't go over well with me because Art should have marked what I wanted with chalk or paint or something! The workmanship seems fantastic. There are no cracks, the lines are straight and the brushwork matches my patio, which I requested. Art honored the quote, didn't give me grief about moving this one line (although his employee did), and they finished the job quickly.
I just noticed they fixed a crack in my patio without charging me. I had a crack in my steps that the snakes liked, so I am quite happy they went that extra mile.
