The Company that produced the door had a lifetime warranty on the door also; they were able to get the replacement done for free despite having trouble finding my account papers from six years ago.  They only charged me for the reinstallation because the installation had a three-year warranty.  It was a great experience.

I too went with them because they were highly rated on Angie's list.  It took 14 days versus the 10 they promises to get the glass in to install.  There office clerk seemed put out when she called to arrange the install because I did not return her call quick enough and she was leaving for the day.   I left work early to meet the installer and then they said they cut the tirm to short and had to go back to the shop to cut new pieces.  Then an hour or so later they said the door would not fit - it was cut to big and it would take another week or two to get a new one cut.   Then they called again to arrange the install, I left work early and they had been working for about an 1 1/2 before they told me the hingled slots were cut too large and too high.  I could not believe it and just want my new redesigned master bathroom done and working.   It is obvious they are going to an out of state vendor to improve their margins at the cost of the customer.  Made me pay a 60% deposit (my bad and do not ever do) 1/3 down is enough, but make sure you get a signed quote, contractual agreement.

Response from CNC Glass Works
"To [member name removed], Again, our sincerest apologies for our shortcomings on this shower enclosure. We've had a 5-star customer service rating for the last 18 years in business, and always do our absolute best to uphold this award, however, unfortunately in the construction/remodel business there are occasional mistakes made. Custom European shower enclosures are a very delicate and intricate glass system, with very little tolerances. Although we do literally 1000's of them per year, we are subject to making mistakes just as in any other business or trade. I initially made a mistake on this measure, and the enclosure could'nt be installed the first time around. Then when we received the new piece, our supplier had made a mistake, and gave us strike two. We're a small company that takes pride in each and every job we do, and all of us, from office personnel to owner to installers, feel horrible when something like this happens. Unfortunately as humans we all make mistakes, and we are very eager to do whatever it takes to rectify this situation and make [member name removed] happy. We would'nt have the customer ratings and been in business for 18 years if we didn't care about our customers. Please visit our many testimonials of happy customers we have, including many on Home Advisor. Also, I would like to clarify some fore-mentioned allegations. Our typical protocol is 10 business days from measure to install, which was met for [member name removed], the total invoice was less than $1500, which I would gladly invite Ms. Shreiner to compare others to. And lastly, we do require a contractual "sign-off" verification that states all of the above, just to be sure we're all on the same page, before placing the order. We ask all of our customers for a 50% deposit upon placing the order, which is standard with most businesses upon placing any custom order. Once again [member name removed], I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we've caused you, and hope that we can make you happy, as we've been able to with 1000's of our 100% satisfied customers. Respectfully, Chris Leos, owner"

Everything went really well. Chris, the owner, is a great communicator, listens well, and is very helpful. We noticed after they were done that there was a tiny chip in the glass. The workers came out right away and fixed it at no charge. Their prices are excellent compared to the several bids that we got.

Chris and I played a little email and phone tag until I got his cell phone number and called him directly. He was very professional and a good listener from the begining. He came out on 5/10/10 to measure my shower area and give me an estimate. He brought brochures with pictures of the shower enclosures, so that I was not only given choices, but able to see what the unit would actually look like installed. He was able to give me a very specific quote and even included a sketch with the towel bar and handle positions and noted the measurements he had taken. Angelo arrived on Saturday 5/15/10 as agreed, and took out the old enclosure and istalled the new solid glass enclosure with bronze trim. He took his time, and was very thorough. Angelo also did extra work and caulked the interior of the shower along the out side wall It was good to know I could trust someone with so much experience in the industry They did a perfect job from begining to end

The experience went very well overall. Chris examined the job in person and responded rapidly with a reasonable quote. After some detailed discussions, he double checked measurements for the shower and also added in my request for the large mirror for a very competitive final job bid. Around a week later his installers (very professional and courteous) arrived with the custom manufactured glass and mirror and performed an exacting installation. There was a bit of dust to clean up after they left, which took only about 5 minutes. The installers worked quite hard to get the fit and sealant just perfect. My bathroom is now a showpiece!
