Their work was not exceptional. I bought a big deal for this service. The price was good.

Started out good. Gave me an estimate over the phone and he was about half the price of the painter recommended by the store where we bought the door so we decided to use him. Came out as scheduled and brought another painter with him. After making sure twice that they understood that the door was to be painted blue and the frame was to be painted white (We supplied the paint)
I left for work. My husband was home but he did not pay much attention to the work being done. Well, I came home to a blue door AND a blue frame. NOT what I wanted. According to my husband, Rick left after I had left for work and the other painter did the job by himself. I called Rick and said that they needed to fix the paint on the frame and change it to white. He said that he was going to make it right, no problem and then asked me if I was sure that I did not want the frame blue (I am assuming he didn't want to come out again). After many calls trying to schedule him to come out again (he kept saying how busy he was), he finally showed up and re-painted the frame. In the process the damaged the new paint on the door which was still slightly sticky from having been painted. There was also an area with a paint drip he tried to fix and made matters worse. I don't think that he knows how to paint correctly. Long story short, the job looked awful and when we complained he said that we were too picky. Granted, the damage was not super noticeable but we wanted a good painting job, not just an ok one. He also came to the house to see if he could fix his mistakes and ended up in a loud confrontation with my husband saying the "f-word" a few times. Not very professional. Our neighbor had to intervene. We ended up having to hire another painter who did a fantastic job at a higher price. I guess you get what you pay for. My husband and I discussed trying to get our money back in small claims court since he refused to refund us (we were out $280 plus $100 for very good paint) but we decided that it wasn't worth the hassle. Bottom-line, if you just want an ok paint job and don't want to pay much I guess he would be ok. Just hope you don't have any problems because he is not very good at resolving them.

Not a bad start; was on time and completed the work in a reasonable period of time. I thought this was going to be great.
The problems arose a few weeks after the job was completed. The epoxy floor in the garage began to peel (they had promised that all directions were followed and we even left the car out of the garage an extra day more than recommended to be sure the epoxy was completely set). About the same time, the kitchen cabinets they had painted began to peel.
After contacting them about the problem, it took another week to get an response. A date was set for them to come and look at the garage floor with the epoxy rep. They never showed up. After several hours I called and he said he was sorry but was busy at a job. I told him I was upset and wanted some action. He gave me another date and time and I asked that he call me with a confirmation prior to coming since I had to leave work to be there and it was a big inconvenience.
I never received a call for that appointment and when I got home from work, I found out he had showed up and completed the assessment of the floor without me.
I didn't receive a call until days later and he proceeded to blame me for driving onto the floor too soon but that the rep had agreed to provide new epoxy and that he would do the labor for free (how nice!).
Now, 3 months later, I still have had no contact with this so-called professional and have decided to buy the epoxy myself and do the work myself. I frankly never want to hear this guys voice again.
The cabinets on the kitchen continue to peel and I've had to re-paint sections and then do a gloss coating to keep them from peeling.
This guy pretends to know and be an expert on everything. To me, he's the proverbial jack-of-all-trades and master of none. I was also extremely unhappy with his lack of listening skills. He pretends to listen and then does exactly the opposite. Super frustrating!
Finally, I got the feeling that he has a chip on his shoulder about anyone telling him what to do.

The service was good. I would say that he had a personal issue but after that was done he came out and did what he said he would. He cleaned everything up very nice.

Rick did an amazing job. I underestimated how long it would take and an hour job took 3 hours, and he stayed and got it all done, and done right. Could not be happier and will certainly use him again!

While the attic spring installation went with some unexpected troubles (springs were too tight), the handyman came up with an alternative solution to keep the hatch shut. He spent extra time installing the baseboards in the bathroom. Overall, great affordable handy man service.

Rick was Awesome. I left a message from him on July 4th he called me that same day and to my surprise was able to come the following day to do the job. Before talking to Rick I had called another person on Angie's list that quoted me $250 which I thought was ridiculous. So when I talked to rick and he gave me his estimate I was so happy his estimate was considerably lower and a price that I thought was fair. He is a honest person, doesn't try to swindle you. He makes sure you are completely happy with the job before he leaves. I already have a list of other projects I want him to do :)

Rick and I had a hard time getting an appointment made due to the fact that he was dealing with the death of a close relative. After we were able to establish a date and time he did show up as scheduled and did a very fine job. His prices are very competitive and I would hire him again. He was very cordial and friendly and handled the job very professionally.

We had scheduled the work a month in advance and Rick called a few days before the agreed to start date and confirmed. We agreed we would purchase materials in advance. Even though he had severely injured his ankle, he showed up the weekend prior to start the inventory of materials. He showed up on start date, still hobbled by an injured ankle, and got to work. He kept us informed on progress and issues at the end of each day. We had agreed on a 2 week project and a fee for services and he met both timeline and the agreed to fee. We are extremely pleased with the project and the services provided. We would use, and probably will use, Rick on additional home improvement/remodel projects. Thanks Rick.

The project ran a little longer than expected but Rick didn?t charge extra. In fact, he stayed a while longer in order to snake my clogged bathroom sink. Highly recommended!

He did a great job. He's very nice, professional, helpful, honest & knows what he's doing. The price was also very reasonable. I was actually very busy when he came over, so I only had about 30 seconds to show him what needed to be done...it was no problem for him at all...he just went to work immediately & I was able to get back to my things. He cleaned up well when he was done, and even did some touch-up painting around the fan...most people would just let something like that go. He went the extra mile. I'm glad I was able to find someone like him...I'll be getting another to-do list together, and when it's ready, I'll give him a call. He also gave me a quote on painting the exterior of my house, and was very helpful in identifying details about my house that I should pay attention to if I plan on moving forward with it.

He took his time hanging the pictures, making sure that they were hung correctly and were level. He worked slightly over two hours but didn't charge me any extra money. Showed up on time and did a great job. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

My family needed to have four ceiling fans exchanged in our bedrooms, so we went on Angie's List to respond to a deal. Rick was an absolute and punctual professional from square one, even though he was extremely busy at the time. The previous electrician had done a shoddy job of initially installing the fans, but Rick was able to improvise solutions to all the problems he encountered. Not only did he install them more securely, but he also went out of his way to make sure that they looked beautiful. We recommend him and look forward to working with him again.
