Initial estimate and discussion went well.  Very impressed with representative.  The person (lady) who handles calls was nice.  Pricing estimate took a while to come back, but was within my range.  Have a wood surround, cap that was installed with very bad gaps at the miters.  I've called the representative via cell phone and he said he would have someone come out and fix the issue.  No one has responded thus far.

Other than that....they did an excellent job on the main deck.  I would recommend them.

I have used them periodically. They are amazing. They do a good job. They always clean up after themselves.

My original experience with Merrimans was not what I had expected and because of my frustration I had told them I did not want them back at my home to complete the repairs because I thought 3 months was more than enough time. Yes, there were miscommunications and things were not done correctly. BUT, I could not let things lie and contacted the owners directly and bypassed staff. I was pleasantly surprised when Mrs. Merriman contacted me and set up an appointment for Mr. Merriman (owner) to come out to my home to take a look at incomplete project. He assured me that HE would supervise completion of project and all he wanted was for me to be happy with the results. I can't tell you how happy I am and how good it was to open up communications with Merrimans. It goes to show you that you should always try to work with a company before jumping the gun, as I did, and complain to the public. I would DEFINITELY reccommenf Merriman's in the future!

On April 29, 2012 the pipes underneath my bathroom/shower burst on my Mobile Home. My insurance agent recommended I call Merriman's. I was told the repairs would take approximately 3 weeks. At first everything seemed to be going smoothly but as the repairs progressed I could see that I had to stay on top of things and practically walk the workers step by step through what they were supposed to do. Due to the burst pipes they tried to replace the wet, swollen wood with moldy wood and blame the quality of the wood on Home Depot. The worker sent ME out to buy bleach to spray the wood to get rid of the mold. TOTALLY unacceptable. I made him cut out the mold and replace with a good, clean piece of wood. So, I wonder how much of the wood that I did not see that they used also had mold on it!  They did not paint everything they were supposed to per insurance estimate so I had to call them back to paint the hallway, dining room and door frames. When they did paint they spattered paint all over the bathroom mirror and didn't even bother to clean off the paint and they lost the light switch cover to the switch in the dining room and left without even informing me. Like I wouldn't notice? They repositioned the vanity saying their was no water damage yet when I took a closer look the wood underneath was rotten, swollen and had a major hole in the corner. I took pictures and sent to insurance agent and he could not believe they repositioned the vanity in that condition!  My insurance agent decided to add a supplemental onto my claim and give me the money directly so I may purchase my own vanity and not go through Merriman's since they couldn't be trusted beforehand!  So, on to the vinyl..They installed the vinyl. The worker called me to see if I wanted to see how nice it looked and I actually started crying. They installed the WRONG color. They claim it was the distributors fault. They ordered the new vinyl and came out to install it and it was STILL the wrong color. They claim we ordered that color but my daughter and I are both witnesses to the fact that we did not order the color they brought out, SO, I am now left with a grey bathroom and brown tile!  During clean up one of the workers emptied his bucket of paint/cement all over my yard and I now have dried cement in my garden. He also poured something down the new shower floor and the beautiful new drain is now grey and covered in some kind of powder.  I now have to worry that my pipes will again burst depending on what he poured down my shower drain!  My grandsons bedframe was also cracked because they dragged it instead of picking up in the initial moving of furniture!A 3 week job turned into a 3 month horror story!!

We wanted to find a contractor who specialized in manufactured homes and would work with us using our design and the kitchen cabinets we had already purchased.  Tod Merriman provided a quote and allowed a few changes to it before we got started.  He stuck to this estimate and that was the price we paid even though the actual work took several days longer than estimated.  We had the same workers everyday and they were always on time, cleaned up and worked very hard.  In fact, they took one lunch break and no other breaks, working 9-5 every day.  An example of their quality and ethical work was a day when their trailer leaked some kind of fluid all along the streets as they drove through our mobile home community.   Two workers spent nearly 4 hours over 2 days scrubbing the roadway with brushes until clean.  Even the neighbors were impressed!

THEY DID THE JOB ALL DAY, THEY DIDN'T SAY MUCH TO ME BUT THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND GOT IT DONE VERY FAST. WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE.
