Kool Air

I received service from “Kool Air” today. Several friends who were very pleased recommended them for their service and very reasonable price. I was not disappointed. I called Kool Air at 8am and spoke with and quot;Kuland quot;. He was very courteous and we
arranged for him to call me back once he completed his first job of the day so that I could leave work and meet him at my home. He followed through and met me at my home. He diagnosed the issue very quickly and called to price the part from a dealer about half hour drive away. He then left his tools in place and drove to get the part. Within half an hour of his return my unit was running and I had heat and air. I watched him work and was very impressed. The price he charged was extremely reasonable. He was professional and a genuine nice guy. I am glad my friends recommend Kool Air and will definitely use them again.
Oh, and one other thing. Before I called Kool Air I went on-line and checked for reviews. I was surprised to see a couple of negative reviews, especially after my friends were so positive about their experience. I have since concluded that the same individual(s), apparently grinding an axe because they did not get their way, posted the negative reviews. I checked with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and only found one individual who had complained, and the wording of the complaint was similar to the other posts I had read. The BBB had this to say about the case:
BBB's Final Determination: After reviewing the position of all parties, BBB determined that the business made a
reasonable effort to address the complaint. However the consumer remains dissatisfied.

Did not answer phone professionally. Called after an hour after scheduled appraisal meeting and was not available to attend. Wanted to reschedule....went with a more professional company.

I called them in the afternoon of 24 December and they showed up on Christmas Eve. One part had to be ordered and they replaced that on 31 December. We did have heat over the Christmas holidays thank-you.
They went out of their way to help us at an inconvenient time. They know their stuff and are very friendly and courteous.
If I could give them a rating higher than A+, I would do that. Great folks, great work, and a good price backed up by a one year warranty. Plus a discount they didn't have to give me. They have my strongest recommendation.

I was not impressed at all because my air conditioner still doesn't work. I will not use them again in the future.

Kool Air - Heating and A/C

I called him and told him we had a problem, and since it was an air conditioner.
He rearranged his schedule, and came down here the next morning, and fixed it.
Very honest and straight forward, and reasonably priced compared to others.

The company performed services exactly as stated. The serviceman gave me an estimate over the phone with out seeing the job. He came out and gave me an estimate after seeing what he would have to do. He performed the service. He did an excellent job. The price was exactly as quoted. This is an old fashioned company who cares about their service, customers, and reputation. It was a very pleasant encounter.

He was a nice guy and showed up promptly. He inspected my AC unit and made some minor repairs that were hindering the efficiency of the unit (he sprayed the cooling fins but the main problem was a duct leak that he quickly repaired). He took the time to show me how he knew that the coolant levels were in the normal range and did not need to be recharged and also showed me how he knew that the compressor was working (he showed me the condensate on the coolant lines).

They are lovely people. When I called and said that my air-conditioner was not working and he told me to go and check my circuit breakers. I did that and told him that it all seemed to be okay, so he said that he would come by noon. I went for exercise and probably got back from before noon, but he had already been here. It was apparently something in my circuit box as he thought to begin with and I had a big sign on my door saying that it was fixed. He did not bill me for it and said that it was no big deal. I have recommended him to others because he is good.

He is very punctual and shows up when he says he will be there. If I have any problems or a unit stops working, I just call and they are there. Their prices are in line with others, it is not excessive at all. They are very responsive to you and do a good job of returning phone calls. I would go straight to them for any kind of maintenance of that kind.
