"Thank you [Member Name Removed]...it was a pleasure working with you and I hope you enjoy your new room for your daughters to practice dance for many, many years!"
"I just realized I did not respond to this review and just wanted to say thank you. It was a pleasure working with you."
"Thank you for the positive feedback. It was a pleasure working with you and we always enjoy a challenge. It really makes our job rewarding when we exceed our clients expectations!"
"When I was hired by the above [member name removed] to remodel a 7'x8' bathroom, I was very concerned since she filed a complaint to the contractors board on the last contractor that remodeled her other bathroom. She claimed that he just got his license and was inexperienced. [member name removed] was referred to me by another contractor who found out about me by a previous client, whom was referred to me by another previous client as a result of providing ethical and superior business practices and craftsmanship. The city building inspector signed off all of my work including the rough plumbing, electrical, mechanical and framing even though [member name removed] stressed her concerns of poor craftsmanship. The inspector stated that he knew how concerned she was due to his experience with her from the last contractor/remodel and reassured her that everything was completed satisfactorily. In addition, I had a structural engineer provide her with a signed and stamped letter of documentation stating that all of the work completed was done correctly. In my opinion, I believe that the contractor that referred her to me instigated the entire series of events because I did not give him a kick back for a referral fee. After he alluded to the inquiry, many questions arose by [member name removed] thereafter to the standards of our work and it was a downward spiral from that point on. The client would show me how a wall was out of plumb a 1/4" from a diagonal cross section on an 8'x8' wall, among other insignificant things. I don't believe a homeowner would have any knowledge of how or why to even check something like that, but it is just an assumption and not fact based. What is fact based is that the contractor that referred [member name removed] to me, Richard D. Alcaraz of Irvine-Viejo Builders (aka Squeaky Floor Doctor), CSLB License #439205, was not insured, no valid bond and no workers compensation policy. He had employees on the job-site, but his license was and is still suspended to date! [member name removed] praised everything he did and therefore wanted him to finish the job, so I let him do so after several attempts to do everything I could to ensure her satisfaction. It is unfortunate that I cannot make every person happy and believe me it is not for lack of trying. I do whatever it takes to make all of my customers happy and strive to exceed their expectations. As a result, I have a flawless contractors license since 2001, a successful business through the toughest economy in history and an endless list of testimonials and referrals. It pains me to know that I have an unsatisfied client and I wish there was something I could have done to resolve the situation, but nothing worked and I know that it had nothing to do with me or the quality of my work."
"This is the first time that I became aware of this posting and feel obligated to respond in my defense. I do recall, that although the wood floor was covered and protected, the client claimed that the damage was caused by my workers and I did what I felt was right thing to do and replaced the damaged material. I do not remember any of the other issues nor would I ever leave any loose ends untied. I do, however, remember that this customer called me a couple of years after the fact accusing me that my plumber was responsible for a leak in a nearby wall. The plumbing leak was not related to any of the work completed during the bath remodel and the repairs were made as necessary without mention of any other outstanding issues. This is the first publicly documented negative comment I have ever come across in the 10+ years that I have been a general contractor. I take it very personal if a client is not 100% satisfied and I take great pride in the work I provide my customers. I will always do whatever it takes to make my customers happy and strive to exceed their expectations."
