SCHULTZ PAINTING

Basic painting was OK. Attention to detail was lacking. Clean up wasn't good, paint on ground, hardware, wrong colored screws in light plates, some screws missing altogether. After the job was complete, Darrel said he'd be back the next day to finish touch ups and problems, never showed, didn't return calls. Finally returned a week or more later, corrected some problems, but not all. Again never returned calls. we did some touch up work ourselves. Whenever he was here he was always in a hurry. I wanted to go a little darker on one wall, he said we'd discuss it later. It never happened, the wall is the same as the others. He didn't follow what was in the contract: said they would trench down 3-4 inches around the house -- they didn't. I now have one large and 4-5 smaller oil spots on my driveway from his truck.

The exterior of our house was in pretty good condition, but some stucco repair was necessary. Schultz Painting moved some of our belongings to complete the job. We were disappointed that we had to clean up after the crew daily, as paint chips etc., were all over the place and we would have tracked into the house otherwise. Some of our plants were not adequately protected and were somewhat damaged, but have survived. After the job was completed, some of our belongings (plants, etc.) were moved back and some were not. To their credit they installed some new lighting fixtures for us, and the house overall looks much better.

Schultz was always on time and completed all work within promised time. He advised us on color and technique. We have used him on several occasions and will continue to use him.

Darrel Schultz did an excellent job of preparing and painting my house. A true professional job. He was on time with great prices.

BOTH TIMES THAT DARREL WORKED HERE THE RESULTS WERE EXACTLY WHAT WE EXPECTED, THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE AND HIS DEPENDABILITY WAS EXCEPTIONAL. HE IS A VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE RESOURCE FOR THE RIGHT DECISION REGARDING PAINT CHOICE AND COLOR.
