He came out and seemed to be really good.  He brought samples and explained what we needed to do to finish the fireplace before the doors went on. After we completed the work, we called Kevin and never received a returned call.  Have called many time and never receive a call back.  Seems like he just disappeared.

Made appointment for 9AM and at 9AM Kevin was at our front door. He advertises in his web site a complete cleaning for $199. He spent a solid non-stop 3+ hours doing the job. Dis-assembled all removable parts and cleaned the empty 'shell' completely along with burners, briquettes, grill, igniters and the ceramic 'searing' unit. He used many cleaning products including 'Easy Off' oven cleaner, rubber gloves, drill, shop vac, tarps and lots of rags and industrial wipes.

When he is finished the entire exterior is polished with a stainless steel polish.

Based on time and material used it really is a bargain. He schedules two per day. He offers a program of every six months or annual cleaning at a reduced rate for those who want it. (I may do this)

One thing that I found interesting about Kevin is his 'entreprenurial' attitude. He will repair BBQ's as needed and is a certified technician for Lynx, a premium local brand. He services fireplaces and gas logs as well.

I Called Kevin of OC hearth and BBQ on 6-24-2014 to set up an appt to come look at my BBQ and see what repairs were needed. He told me he had an opening on the 26th and that he could be at my house at 11am, would be there only a short time to see what was needed and then be on his way to another appt. in Long Beach by noon. I didnt think this gave him enough time so I was willing to have him come see me at 10:30am although this was not the most advantages time for me. The morning of the 26th I waited, and waited and waited. At 12 noon he had neither come by or called to cancel. I emailed Kevin a message on his Angies List account the morning of the 26th stating that he missed his appt. Its now been 3 days and still this company has not contacted me. This company is quit possible the most unprofessional company I have experienced in years. I am so grateful for Angies list allowing companies like this to be exposed for what they are. Buyer beware!

I called this company because of its great reviews on Angie's List and Yelp. I ended up sending a text message for a quicker response, and Kevin promptly responded. He came over to my house on 5/1/14 to look at the grill and determine what replacement parts would be needed (he called before to let me know he would be coming an hour later than planned, which was OK). He gave me an estimate of the total cost, including two options for cleaning. I went with the higher option so our grill would be scrubbed to brand-new condition. We set an appointment for 5/8 for him to do all the work.
On 5/8/14, Kevin and an assistant arrived promptly at the appointed time and completed all of the work in the time he told me it would take, and the cost estimate he gave me was spot on. The grill works and looks great, and I'm sure that I will use him again in the future.

It was great service. I would surely hire them again. They can to the house looked at the BBQ and had to order parts. Just a couple days later the parts arrived and the BBQ was fixed and cleaned. They did an amazing job. Thank you.....

They took the full BBQ apart, cleaned it thoroughly and reassembled it. Works perfectly! They were friendly, professional and accommodating. I was very satisfied with the work and the price was very reasonable.

The burners on my 11 yr old Lynx grill were not functioning properly. The holes in the burners were eroding allowing too much gas to escape causing the flame to be too intense. I removed the burners and found that one of the air shutters had come off the burner and was stuck on the post that turns on the gas flow in the front panel. The burners were under warranty. I called Lynx and had new ones sent. They did have a service charge of $30 each to ship them. These are the brass ones. You can get the cast iron ones online for about $100, but I was told that they won't last as long as the brass. Since I was replacing the burners and since I could not get the air shutter from behind the front panel, I decided to call and let an authorized repair person do the work. Plus, I wanted a nice cleaning as well.
I contacted Kevin at OC Hearth and BBQ via his email. We communicated via email over the following week to work out the price and scheduling. His price to clean the BBQ and replace my new burners was $199. He showed up at the appointed time and cleaned my BBQ. He cleaned the cooked on grit and oils from inside the grill and he replaced the burners with the appropriate air shutter settings. It took about 2 hrs. He advised me that my igniter/spark generator kit was fried. He said he would put it in if I ordered a new one from Lynx. Or he said I could continue to do what I had been doing which was to use those long candle lighters to ignite the flame.
I think Kevin's price was fair and the work was as expected and promised. I now have a clean functioning grill.
The next time I need repairs or major cleaning for my grill, I will call Kevin.

Had 8-9 yr. old BBQ Galore Grand Turbo in desperate need of repair -burners rusted/clogged, ignitor not working, regulator (as it turns
out) needed replacing, plus a bit of cleaning after neglect.
I was thinking I needed new burners (not cheap), as I sort of cleaned the burner holes about a year ago. Kevin didn't try to over/up sell and said they just needed to be drilled out proper.
Did that, cleaned up and replaced the ignitor, ceramic tiles and regulator. Did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price.
I grill/bbq a ton and you have no idea how different this grill is now.
Kevin was prompt, kept us informed of delays and as mentioned, did a great job with my grill.
