Title Companies
They were slow in getting papers to us. When we asked questions the answers we were given were different than what we received in writing later, including the fees they charged us. When asked about these conflicts in the amount of fees we were abruptly told that "it is what it is". They never contacted us regarding the return of our deposit and down payment when the escrow was cancelled. We had to contact them, only to find that they had never sent us their paperwork to sign for the cancellation and they needed it to return our funds. They changed their fees from what they quoted verbally and so the paperwork we had sent which detailed the fees we agreed to pay as we were quoted was erroneous. Because they were sitting with our money we were "forced" to agree to the additional fees.
