Went in and told them to put new brakes on all the way around and also thought my rotors were scared. Pre authorized all work reguardless of cost. When I returned brakes worked perfect and they didn't replace them. Said they just needed to be cleaned / dusted off. They could have taken me for over a $1,000 for all the work but they were honest and that to me is priceless! Love these guys!

I have taken four cars to and quot;Good Guysand quot; Automotive over the past ten years and have always been pleased with the results. Pete (owner) and Mark (manager) have been a pleasure to work with. Each time I brought one of my cars in they provided me with what I believe were honest assessments of my automobile issue(s) and clear estimates of the work that would be done. I have never been surprised with additional, or add-on, costs that I was not expecting. On one occasion they recommended that I take the car to the dealer for service after noticing that a recall had been issued that addressed the issue that I had. On another occasion they recommended that I take one of the cars into the dealership as they had more sophisticated equipment to diagnose a smog test failure. In each case I believe they could have worked on the cars and charged me for their time instead of directing me back to the dealer which was the more appropriate action to take.

There is one area of their service that I would like to see improved. Good Guy's is a small shop and is sometimes extremely busy. Because of this, at times, they have not called me as quickly as I would have preferred with an update on the status of my repair. I don't hold this against them; instead I make it a point to call them in the early afternoon to check on the status of my car. Given all the positive comments in the first paragraph, this is not enough of an issue to make me want to change shops.

With my four cars over 10 years I have probably been to Good Guys Automotive 20+ times. i intend to continue to use them in the future and can recommend them highly to others.

I will never go back to Good Guys Automotive and its really too bad. The work that was done on the engine was satisfactory. BUT - they unnecessarily advised me to replace the Cabin Filter at a cost of $75.00. I found out later from Mazda that IF the filter is replaced at all it is done at much higher miles and the replacement of the filter has nothing to do with the performance of the engine. No thank you Good Guys. Was it worth losing a customer for $75.00 for unneeded parts and labor?
