It went great. I had this done:
Moisture and Mold Assessment/ Labor ($250.00)
4 Air-O-Samples Were Taken and 1 Tape Lift Sample ($350.00)
Yelp, Angie List, and Service Magic Discount (-$200.00)
I am a yelp user and Angie's list user, and I found that Davie's company is the only one with good reviews on both...
Most companies are mold inspectors and remediators which means conflict of interest. I like the fact that Davie is only an inspector and not a remediator... this is great!
He was respectful, on time and courteous and wore shoe covers in the house. He gave all reports in a timely manner of about 2-5 days.. some had to go to a lab to be analyzed...
I had Davie take samples from the kitchen (found mold under the sink) and areas up stairs that had popcorn ceiling and underneath a bathroom sink upstairs that had some previous wet stains...
I ended up not have stacyboris or asbestos...so I was very happy:) Davie did suggest that I should have the drywall replaced under my sink...

The overall experience was very positive, simple and educational. While researching other companies, Davie called me and left several messages. We spoke via phone about the nature of my request and what I was hoping to accomplish. He asked me questions about the property (year the house was built, structure of home, number of rooms, etc.). When he arrived to perform the inspection, he presented me with an official proposal of what we discussed. I really appreciated this because it outlined what the objective of the inspection was and what I was to expect from his service, etc. In addition, he gave me literature to read about lead poisoning, etc. When he was ready to pull soil samples, he asked me which specific areas I would like him to gather the samples from. While he worked, I was doing a few things of my own around the house. I could tell he was thorough and that he took his time. He was not in a rush to "get in and get out." On several occasions, we spoke about our families and homes, so he was very personable as well.
