Sean and his crew removed a mature mulberry tree and two smaller trees (one dead and one dying). At our request, they cut the wood into firewood lengths, and left all the shredded debris for mulch. The staff was professional and efficient. They were careful to avoid damaging the PVC irrigation pipe in the area that I pointed out at the start of the day. Sean also offered to grind a root that was elevating a concrete walk for a very reasonable price - they were able to lift the portion of the walk, grind the root, and replace the slab so it is no longer a tripping hazard. The only minor issue (hence the B for responsiveness) was that after Sean's initial visit for the estimate, he indicated that he would call to schedule the work in about 4 to 6 weeks. After 8 weeks, I sent an email inquiry through their website. A week later, I received a call to schedule the work. I know this was a busy time for his business, but I would have appreciated a call or an email just to acknowledge the delay. Overall, my husband and I are very pleased with the work, and plan to engage Yolo Co Arborist again.

Shawn spent a thorough time discussing the many trees we have, and ways to protect and support them. We talked drought impact, longevity and overall health. It was decided some of the saplings should be removed that are competing for water for our large established trees, and several more needed to be removed that were in varying degrees of decay.



He was very knowledgeable about the indigenous trees and his crew works amazingly fast and cleaned up after themselves. Definitely a top notch outfit.

It went fabulous even though it was not an immediate need. I would use them again in the future.

They are reasonable and do a good job. The price was good. They took out a tree for me, which was fine. I asked them to replace it with a certain variety, which is hard to find, but they replaced it with an alternate variety. I don't think they put a lot of effort into finding it. They were responsive and professional. I would work with them again, even though they didn't get me the right tree.

He is excellent. We have these big huge mature trees that they prune every other year and there is quite a bit of stuff that they have to remove usually and there is a lot of undergrowth that he has to attack. He has always been very careful to protect the rest of the yard when he is up in the trees. He will actually climb up in the tree to do the pruning as opposed to bringing a big giant truck in the yard with a cherry picker. He is very good about picking up the materials. We always ask that he leave the wood chips for mulch. He is very good and he has a good price. He does excellent work and really takes care of the trees. He is knowledgeable and had helped us out with some trees. We have been using him for many years and will definitely continue to use him.
