We provide Full service moves providing truck and labor for Residential and Commercial moves. ​ We can load or unload your truck, labor only into your home or office. Packing and unpacking services, wrapping, custom packing. Unpacking removal of goods and placing them where you want them. We bring dollies and tools in case we have to disassemble or reassemble furniture.

Chris and his team helped us move from Davis to Woodland yesterday. He was two people short but was able to find people and still be on time. They did a very professional move and were very careful with our belongings. Worked 11 hrs and two trips to complete the move. Everything was assembled and they did an outstanding job. They are our heros! Thank you Chris!

I had a convo with him saying that I just wanted a legit and good job done with no huge, hidden fees at the end of the job. He stopped replying to messages after that and never returned my phone call.

Chris Moves was awesome, he communicated weeks before hand asked every detail about the move as needed followed up in a timely manner and made the experience stress free. He arrived on time and finished even before the time frame he had allotted for, i would hire Chris moved snd refer him to all of my friends and family time and time again! Professional, detailed and amazing prices!

Everything about this experience was professional and harmonious - so grateful! I got the best estimate for the job from Chris and he was very helpful in arranging the move. He was always easy to reach and responsive and stayed in touch prior to and the day of the move regarding arrival times, etc. He was also super understanding and flexible when we needed to change the move date. He and Modesto were friendly and easy to work with during the move. They were careful, efficient, and did a great job with both loading and unloading everything quickly and thoughtfully. They made a point of asking how I wanted things placed for storage to make it most convenient. I was extremely pleased with this experience and highly recommend Chris Moves. I would definitely use his service again and will be spreading the word about this company - a great find!

We called Chris Moves for help loading a truck that would be moving us from California to Washington. When my husband shared a quote he had received for the move, Chris said he could beat it. He made an appointment to come to our house to see how much we were moving so he could give us a quote. He never showed up and never called us. In the morning, my husband called him. His response was "oh, I got called away on a job" and "I thought I left you a voicemail" (which he hadn't). He then tried to cover himself by giving my husband a quick, hastily put together quote by phone, which was much higher than the one we had received.

"Thanks for the review. First off I never promise to beat anything until I see how much work is involved with a job. Secondly, you didn't hire me for the job you simply wanted an estimate. I charge hourly and I don't do estimates for (labor only jobs no truck) just loading/unloading. I only do estimates for full service jobs ( with truck) so in this instance (labor only) there may have been some miscommunication. If it was on my end I apologize and hope to earn your business in the future."

We had to move our house from California to Washington.  I called Chris Moves to help us load our things into a 26 foot truck then unload it and reload into a moving container.  From start to finish Chris and the two movers were professional, accommodating and a pleasure to work with! 

I was very stressed about having to move our things from our 2-story 4 bedroom home in California to Washington, but Chris of Chris Moves said that we could keep the 2 movers for as long as we needed, we would just pay them for their time.  Wonderful!  They showed up and went right to work.  They were both really nice and professional and very accommodating. Oh, and it was super hot that day, and they worked hard from start to finish, I think a total of 8 hours! They really made a stressful time much less stressful. We unpacked our moving container and everything made it here safe and sound, including my 8 foot tall cabinet with glass doors!  My only regret is  not writing down their names, so I could include them in my review.  If any of our friends from Sacramento area need movers, we will definitely tell them to call Chris Moves!

Hired for a family member's move. Packed the majority of a 2 bedroom house in San Francisco (a little bit was already packed). Moved almost everything to a storage facility in Vacaville, and the remaining items were delivered and unloaded to a Vacaville home. There was A LOT of stuff. Most of furniture disposed of. Just a couple dressers, small dining set, and few shelving units. The rest filled a 20' box truck and a van packed to the ceilings; all "stuff". Add to that a very picky client about how things were to be packed. It took a total of 20 hours over an unexpected 2 days due to storage facility access hours. Chris rearranged his staff's schedule to accommodate the 2nd day and got it all done. They did one heck of a great job even with my difficult to work with family member. Chris & his staff were very patient, careful, and kind. Very nice to deal with and Chris does what he says he will do. What a great price for all that work! Price listed includes packing materials, travel, etc. Everything except tips. They did a great job for us, and earned our business for our next move.

Chris and his team are fantastic.  They were on time, professional, so fun to work with.  They are very respectful of your house and belongings. They work really hard until the job is done and you are happy.  I had no issues, no breakage, they were amazing.

The job went very well. Chris gave me an estimate on the phone and then he and another man provided excellent service. While they were late on the first day they did call to let us know the previous job ran a little longer than expected. No complaints there. And the second day they were very punctual and very helpful in putting felt pads on the furnishings so the new floors would not get scratched. They even remembered where various pieces were placed. They were very mindful on the transition strips we were not to step on and very considerate. I recommend them highly.

When I searched on Angie's List for a moving provider and called Chris, he answered the phone but asked if he could call me back within the hour as he was on another project at that moment. He did call me back and we set up everything for the Thursday morning help. The truck was going to arrive at 8am so I wanted Chris and his guy there as close to that as possible. They provide a minimum of two hours of service which was fine by me. They arrived at 7:52am, early, a good start. By 9am we had unloaded everything and they had helped to place all the necessary items in their respective rooms/places. They were genial, thoughtful, courteous, and respectful. I would use them again without a hesitation.

I'm not originally from this area and don't have family around. All my friends that could have helped me move were celebrating their Memorial Day weekend. Chris agreed to do the move.
He showed up in a moving truck with one other guy. They were efficient and ensured all my furniture was wrapped properly, etc before it was loaded. Once we made it to my new residence, they went above and beyond by helping me assemble two beds and even hooked up my washer and dryer.
I would DEFINITELY recommend Chris Moves to anyone in need of quality movers at a reasonable price.

Arrived on time with one additional person. Very efficient in loading contents of studio apartment. Wrapped dressers with plastic to keep drawers in place. Unloaded contents at new apartment. New apartment was on 2nd floor . Unloaded through basement. Almost everything went into elevator with careful placement because elevator was small. Sofa had to be carried up 2 flights, and maneuvered around several tight corners. They made it with no damage to the sofa or any other item. Chris and Danny were very professional, efficient, focused on doing the job well, which they did. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

As we were loading a U-Haul truck, we realized that we really needed some help with our daughter's move. We contacted Smith Enterprise Mover's at the absolute last minute. They were able to help us and two young men met us at the new location in an hour and a half. They were punctual, friendly, courteous, and handled her household items with care, placing them where she asked.
They easily accomplished in about one hour (we had hired them for two hours) what would have likely taken five of us three hours to accomplish with a great deal of difficulty. They were absolute life savers, and extremely affordable!
