Canoga Fence company

They were here September/October of 2015.  They were paid in full and basically and we asked for it to be weather proofed before, you know, as part of the completion and they never did that and I've probably been calling the guy, but I gave up about 2 months ago, but I've been calling him about 6 months and he also hasn't returned, come back here, to complete the work or like just if he even called me to tell me like he was off for the summer or whatever it is.  I would have been super appreciative if he would have just got a hold me and said look I'm super busy I can get back to you like in a month and send somebody out but I have not got anything like that.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while.  Santa Ana winds blew down my fence and Chris did a great job repairing it. He was extremely knowledgeable & courteous and had it fixed in record time. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

This is our 3rd install with Chris.  With this project Chris built about a 16 foot fence/gate, installed a doggy door through our Garage wall, and a smaller fence to cover about a 3 foot gap.  The project was done in order to enclose a space for our dog.  Chris understood our needs and delivered a great looking product and just as importantly designed it with perfect functionality.  I like his ability to customize a design to fit your needs and space and provide other custom services that other fence companies will refuse to do.  For instance, staining the fence and installing our doggy door.  I'm always impressed with his metal framing and posts.  These fence/gates are made to last.  Chris is a great guy, always keeps in contact, fair, and you can tell that he takes pride in his work.   We would use him again.  BTW, I'm hoping to add pictures to the review soon.

Chris was awesome! He arrived in a timely manner and assesed the problem. He took the time to show me what was wrong and peovided me with options on the repair. The gate was seizing as it opened because the chain was too tight. He loosened it a bit and lubed the chain. In examining the controls, I told him how my gate sometimes opens when my neighbors use their controller. I've gotten around the problem when it happens by changing the switches in the remotes. He told me that technology has come a long way since my gate was installed and priced out a new relay switch and remotes that eliminates the possibility of someone using an old school remote to open my gate (Intentionally or not). With the new equipment, the repairs he made and utilizing the maintenence tips he gave me, the gate should be good for several years to come. This is the second time Chris has done work for me, the first being fence repair and I could not be happier!

Everything went very well.  Chris was on time and willing to work around my schedule for coming by to do an estimate and also when it came time to do the install.  Even though nothing ever really goes as planned, Chris never rushed the job, never cut corners, and returned without hesitation when a section of the fence needed to be adjusted.  Prices are very fair and work is excellent.

Fence problems. So our neighbor next door offered us a deal. She said that we would take down the fence and her son, with the help of her contractor's supervision, would tear down and put up a new fence to be completed by a set due date?.WRONG.
So we were left with and open violation of privacy and a neighbor who did not care. After she slammed the door in our face when we went over to negotiate with her we were left having to find someone to put up the fence that my neighbor flaked on. After 6 or 7 contractor calls taken from Angie's List for fence contractors, Chris?s company CF2 mysteriously printed out on our printer.  So it worked out to our advantage. Fortunate... yes!!
Now we have a great new redwood fence and gate. Complete in no time at all, and he does his own work. Our Thor Fence man Chris grew up in the  San Fernando Valley, and we are a home San Fernando Valley people? we talked about the history of the valley, our families and made that trusting valley connection! 
Integrity, skill and years of knowledge? best thing we did was to have CF2 do our gate door and fence.  Simply marvelous!!

Chris communicated very well through the job and was very accommodating. Needed some new fences as well as some repairs, and he is one of the few contractors I spoke with who does both himself. When challenges came up, he discussed options, and let me know what to expect ahead of time. One neighbor has already asked me for Chris's number, because the work is so beautiful.

I appreciated getting to interface so much with the owner, Chris.  He was the person I would always speak to on the phone and he was on the job every day.  When he came out to give me an estimate he spent a lot of time explaining the process and the materials they would be using. Chris and his crew delivered exactly what he said they would, a high quality, straight, strong, well built fence.  The job had to be delayed, after it was started, because of the rain and Chris kept in close contact, calling every morning. This helped me feel secure that they would be back as soon as the rain subsided and the ground was dry (which they were).  He explained that they would not do the job in bad weather/land conditions because that would have left me with an inferior product. He fixed our 3 wrought iron gates, which had not worked for 10 years, and it is such a joy to be able to open and close them properly, again!  Also, I was really impressed with their follow through, they spent a long time cleaning up after the fence was built and left our property looking great!

Chris came up with a solution to repair our severely leaning wrought iron fence. Part of the original plan had to be revised due to unforeseen underground pipes. Chris came up with a solution that involved more work and cost on the company's part and yet stuck to his original estimate (not passing on the costs to me). The fence is now very sturdy and CF2 was able to do the work keeping the greenery attached to the fence, which maintained our privacy and gave us the structural integrity needed. I would highly recommend them and if needed would not hesitate to use them in the future!

Chris was professional, punctual, on budget and the gate looks great.  He replaced an existing gate/fence that was falling apart.  He welded a new frame and built the gate using redwood.  Very custom.  We explained the look we wanted and he was able to duplicate that look.  He is very proud of his work and wanted to make sure we liked the finished product, even coming out an extra day for additional touchup to ensure that we got the look we wanted.  We plan to hire him again for another gate on the other side of our house.

Perfect!  Job was done exactly as promised and completed on time and on budget.  They even added the water sealant at no additional cost.  They used high quality redwood which six months later looks as good as the day it was installed.  Will definitely use them again and highly recommend.

Chris was wonderful, professional, honest and didn't try to push us into something we didn't need! They did an incredible job above and beyond what I expected. We had two 6 ft gates put in with new posts and panels. Work was done on time, the quality of the materials was A+. The actually did more then what was asked for and even cleaned up after themselves. Since we are planning on doing construction on our house, Chris made it so that all the panels and gates can be removed and put back on as needed. Oh, and they look great too!! Will use again and would most certainly recommend!

Superb.  In addition to being honest (he did not need some parts and took them off the final bill), Chris is thorough and works until the job is done 100%.

Chris did a great job and was very pleasant to work with.  We just moved into a new house and needed a gate across the driveway to keep the dog in the backyard.  I spoke to a few other companies and Chris's price was the similar or lower than the ones that gave me a quote.  He came out to measure and give me quote very soon after I called and was able to build the gate within a week of that.  The fence looks great - very sturdy and nice looking.  Chris made a few suggestions which worked out great.  I am very happy with the result and would definitely use them again.

First of all the promp service was great! I called others an they wanted to schedule a appt. (Are you kidding me!) I have no hot water anyways. I then came across A1 gave them a call and chris was very helpful over the phone an was able to give me a price over the phone an fit me in right away. A1 showed up about 2hrs later inspected the area let me know exactly what needed to happen with no surprises an then got down to business. They replaced my flex lines an water heater as well as my valve. They were done in about a hour an a half. They left no mess an were on there way.

I needed a gate put over my driveway so my dog couldn't get out of the backyard. Chris was very helpful in explaining my options and pricing, and when we decided on a fence he did an amazing job. It took him one day to put in the gate, and it blends in perfectly with the fence I already had.
I'm going to be redoing the fence in my backyard at some point, and will definitely use Chris - he's fantastic.

I was a referral from a girl friend. I called Chris, he answered on the 2nd ring, very professional. Showed up on time. Very knowledgable, he even honestly told me the things that he was not comfortable doing, I thank him for being straight up. He gave me the estimate on the spot. I hired Chris the following week.
