Wire Nuts was a subcontractor hired by the GC to do the electrical work for our kitchen remodel. I met with Erez of Wire Nuts and the GC and went over the work that needed to be done, I was given an original quote of $1,000 for the work. Erez was scheduled to do the electrical work the following week. In a conversation with the GC, the day before the electrician was to come in and work, I was informed that the quote had been increased to $1500, as the electrician decided after our meeting that the entire kitchen needed to be rewired. The electrician came in on the 7th of December to do the work. The following week during our walk through with the GC the electrician's amount of work and cost came into question. Our entire kitchen did not need to be rewired. Therefore, the $1500 worth of work did not need to be done; we let our our GC know about our concerns. We had just received the invoice from the GC for all work that had been done to date. Approximately 3 days after receiving the first invoice, I received a forwarded email from Erez the electrician that referred to me the "a hole on ___", let me know I will be pick up my check. I was appalled at the language of the email and continued unprofessionalism of this electrician. I responded to the email to the electrician letting him know that his check is in the mail and that the language and reference was inappropriate. This contractor was let go due inappropriate behavior.
Description of Work: Work that was performed: our kitchen was rewired, installed two new switches, electrical sockets, and wires for under cabinet lighting.
