STERN'S CONSTRUCTION INC

They did a great job. I contracted with the owner Terry Stern for his guys for three days of work prior to moving into the home. They finished in two days! The garage is straight and the interior looks fantastic and solid as a rock. Owner Terry Stern is very accommodating as I had to postpone the start of the job by a few weeks. He also understood when his payment got held up in the mail for a week, great guy. The are a honest straight forward construction company they does not try to sell you gimmicky stuff you don?t need. I will defiantly be calling them for my foundation work

I own an small house in Echo park that was badly undermined by a partially excavated basement. It needed to be earthquake proofed (retrofitted). I consulted Angie's List and noted that Stern Constr Company came highly recommend by former customers. I called the owner, Terry Stern, and he agreed to meet and give an estimate. A congenial young man, he was quite informative, explaining the process in detail and after some preliminary measurements gave me an estimate of $2900. I signed a contract and we agreed on a time a few weeks hence. Two young men (brothers I believe) showed up in a truck on time and worked their tails off for three days. There was lots of measuring, sawing, drilling, nailing, etc to get the job done. The crawl space under the house was uncomfortable but they never complained. They were friendly and technically competent. They cleaned up the site when complete. I would recommend Stern Construction in a heartbeat to anyone wishing to retrofit a house.

We are very pleased with the work. I was told they would show up between 7:30am and 8:00am. Gilberto and Salvas showed up at 7:45am. They were very polite and professional. They were more than happy to answer any question I had. They said the job would take 2 days and it did. Gilberto and Salvas cleaned up all the sawdust and plaster from the work and we very pleasant to work with.

They did a great job. He explained everything that needed to be done, therefore, making me fully prepared with what would happen.
