THEY ARE SO PROFESSIONAL.  WE ENJOYED THE INTERACTIONS AND ARE APPRECIATIVE OF THEIR GOOD WORK.

I bought these units 5 years ago for around $280 each, top of the line with inline digital tuners. But, every now and then, a component burns out. These are now discontinued units and extremely expensive if you want to replace them (now running around $400 refurbished or $800 new on Amazon). No way am I paying $800 for something I bought for $280. Until they absolutely can't be fixed, they will be repaired. However, finding a repair place is almost impossible. None of the TV repair places have a clue. Absolutely nobody is able to fix them (been everywhere and learned really fast that others charge an arm and a leg just to look inside the units -- then they say, and quot;sorry, can't be fixed. Magnavox doesn't make components for these anymoreand quot;).
Smith and Larsen is the only place that can do it --by single components, not by whole unit replacement (full DVD or VCR unit, or any full circuit board, etc.). I'd used them two years ago, but I'd lost them and posted a search online. They found me in their files and contacted me with their new address. How's that for service? I went right in. It was exactly the same price as 2 years ago. Same fast service. In three days I had my units back in top condition and both are working perfectly again. Smith and Larson is the only place I would ever take my TVs or any associated electronics. They know what they are doing from the circuit board component level - real electronic engineers, not just and quot;repair guysand quot;. They are fast, fairly priced and great to work with.

They have been their forever and almost fix everything. Their prices are reasonable. My overall experience with them has been excellent.
