Jerry is very thorough and detailed. His demeanor is also very friendly. If you like your handymen this way then Jerry is your guy. He's also very upfront and honest and if he feels he can't complete the project because it's out of his skill-set, he will tell you. Jerry knows it's your home and treats it as though it is his. You can't go wrong with Jer, his prices are fair and he genuinely seems happy when he's working on things. Highly recommend him!!

My wife and I have done a fair amount of work ourselves and employed enough craftsmen to know a good thing when we see one. I chose Jerry based on the Angie's List reviews and have patted myself on the back for it ever since.

Without getting long winded, he was very clear during the estimate/walkthrough about what was included, potential issues that could arise, and what his strengths/weaknesses were. This was a welcome change from the "sure no problem, everything will be great!" of most estimates. He must have spent 3 hours on our estimate proposal later that night and it was the first one I have ever seen that spelled out EVERYTHING so there were no questions on either side. 

The actual work was done to perfection. How ever much you care about the perfection of a job, I am convinced Jerry cares more (and consistently runs ideas by you for input). He is not fast, but instead is meticulous, orderly, and a welcome change from the Tasmanian Devil whirlwind of most workmen ready to get on to the next job before they have started yours. It was also refreshing that he was only one on the gig!

Regarding personality, I truly believe Jerry is a kind soul. I would trust him implicitly, as I believe he has a strong moral compass and an incredible sense of integrity.

The best compliment I can give is that I would (and will) hire him again in a heartbeat without hesitation. Thanks again, Jerry!

Hooray! Doors open and close properly and cabinets are straight and close correctly. This is all due to Jerry's handiwork. In addition to providing excellent repair work, Jerry is very nice and down to earth and made us feel immediately at ease having him working in our home. We definitely plan to call him again to help us in the future.

Jerry worked closely with us from beginning to end. After listening to our wishes and looking at a rough sketch I provided, he designed a window seat bench that hinges open for storage, flanked by two bookcases for additional storage. He framed and built the cabinet and did all the woodwork and painting. He was always punctual and reliable; he communicated with us at every step of the process. I think he probably put more time into it than he charged for. He is a real gentleman -- kind and considerate of my time, and a pleasure to have working in the house. I would trust him to come over and work even if I weren't on the premises. We highly recommend him.

Jerry was a gentleman and a professional from start to finish. He is honest, meticulous in his work, and very hard-working. His estimates and contract spell everything out in detail, including eventualities. He comes from a long line of finish carpenters, and you can tell from the details of the work: every nail hole perfectly filled and sanded, the corners of the chair rail neatly mitered -- it's hard to get that kind of craftsmanship these days. He has an artist's eye, and after this experience I would trust him to design and install cabinetry for me.
