Perfectly. Bernie explained the door problems that occurred as a result of the broken spring, and showed me how each issue was related to the spring. Replaced spring and reinforced door and hinges. Works perfectly now.

Bernie, the owner of and service person for Top Notch Garage Doors is one of the most polite, knowledgeable and professional individuals I have ever had the pleasure of engaging to provide a service I needed for my home. This was the second time I used Top Notch Garage Doors, the first time being in 2011. On both occasions I was completely satisfied with the thoroughness of his evaluation and the quality of his work. I also found it very impressive that on both occasions on which I used Bernie, his recommendations for what needed to be done were significantly fewer than I had anticipated and ended up costing us much less. Bernie removed the old wood garage door and the opener, and installed a beautiful new door, opener, and controller.  He did a perfect job.  Everything was lined up exactly and worked perfectly.  He cleaned up everything at the end and hauled away the old door and opener.  The price was very reasonable and less than quoted by others.

Bernie was very friendly and concerned with providing excellent service. He had a crazy run-around week, but there was no emergency with the garage door and he came when he could and worked quickly.

It was excellent. They were quickly responsive and they did an excellent job at a good price.

We started working with them last year. He did maintenance on the garage door system. The overall service was great. The only thing was that he couldn't come out at certain times but we knew that he was sick. As soon as he got better, he did followup and did a couple of unforeseen things that came up.

Out of the blue, our old garage door buckled and wouldn't work.  We went online and narrowed down the choices to a few doors.  Bernie (real name: Bjorne ?? from Norway) from Top Notch came over and gave us a bid about 10% below another provider.  Because it was going to take a few weeks to deliver the door, he came back with a strut and re-installed our old door at no extra charge.  When the new door came in, Bernie came by one morning and installed it in 3-4 hours.  It looks much better than our old door which was kind of cheesy.  
Bernie made everything easy.  It was not super cheap, but we think that is because of the premium door we chose.

We had great service.  Installation was fast and professional.  They checked out all working components on the door and advised us that the wheels on the door were old (15 years) and were causing a lot of excess noise.  We're having Top Notch come back this week to replace the wheels. Top Notch is honest with fair prices.  We'll definitely use them again.

Bernie's estimate was a little less than expected. He did the whole job alone, lowering the old door on the top of his truck rack after removing the heavy spring hardware. With careful attention to detail, he fitted the existing space with molding so that the new  door would fit snugly, and he managed to make the track clear the existing tall cabinet in the garage. The almond color matches our new paint trim and front door, and we are very pleased. He took the time to tell me how to maintain and, eventually, repair the tracking system.

This was one of those rare transactions that went smoothly from start to finish. Bernie didn't try to sell me a new door, but instead, made the door I had work beautifully and safely. He is a pro and deserves every A he's gotten.

It was excellent. They came when they said they would. They delivered an excellent product. They were very good on the installation. I'm certainly happy with their work. My impression was favorable of the person that provided the service. It was a reasonable price, I thought.

I accidentally
backed into my roll-up garage door causing one panel to bind and the make the door inoperable. I called Top Notch and actually got a live person on the phone. Bernie said he needed to see the door to determine what needed to be done. He came right over.
We agreed that if possible he would find and replace the one damaged panel.  He called around and was able to locate the the original maker.  Unfortunately thepanel I needed was no longer available.
Bernie suggested that I could either replace all the panels (several hundred dollars) or he could install a steel brace to reinforce the weak panel.  My choice. I chose the latter.  He came back a day later with the long brace and quickly installed it. Without my asking, he also adjusted the spring tension on the door and lubricated all the rollers.
He could have charged me several hundred dollars to replace all the panels but instead he used a little ingenuity and labor and saved me several hundred dollars.  The total bill (parts and labor) was just over $100.

I called for an estimate for  new lighter weight garage door.  Bernie came promptly to my home and after inspection of the door, he explained I didn't need a new door, just hinges.  I asked for an estimate which he gave me.  After my ok, he proceeded immediately to replace the hinges.  Twenty minutes later, problem solved with no muss or fuss.  What a pleasure to deal with an honest and pleasant business person.  I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend Top Notch.

I wasn't paying attention while backing out and caught my garage door on my SUV and pulled half of it off the tracks. (I know, stupid move...)  It was hanging down in a bad way off the tracks and wouldn't open or close.  Parts were laying on my garage floor!  Found TOP NOTCH through Angie's list, called Bernie and he came out within the hour.  He was very nice, professional and honest!  It had looked so bad that I thought for sure that I was in need of a new garage door or at least a huge bill to fix my damage.  Bernie immediately told me that it wasn't as bad as I thought and proceeded to fix it.  My garage door was back to working in 30 minutes.  Bernie was awesome and the bill for his repair was even better.  Let's be honest, as a female, I never know if I am  going to get a repairman who tries to BS me on what needs to be done and tries to up his charge.  Bernie did not do this at all.  He was very straight forward with me and honest. I would definitely recommend him to all my friends.

He did a perfect job and he was on time.  He was easy to reach and always returned calls right away.  He was prompt each time he was here and he did exactly what i asked.

I made an appointment for the following day and he came promptly at the time we set. He was very pleasant, explaining the problem clearly. The work was done rapidly. The door has been fine ever since. It was a happy experience and I would certainly use the service again.

They were really good.  I thought they were really great on everything.  I think his pricing was fair and he knew what he was doing. He also pointed something else out that was wrong and just basically fixed it for free.

Although this wasn't the cheapest way to go, the results are great!  For my house, I decided that the less expensive metal doors wouldn't work - too much contrast with the original style of the house.  Bernie helped me figure out a style, and the doors look great.  He even came out for a free service call after the doors were installed to correct some problems caused by other workers.
Overall, a very satisfying experience
