We had used Sergio before for drain issues so we knew the pros - good work, reasonable price and the cons - always late, intial price adjusted when new problems are found and no price detail. This time the emergency work of replacing the pipe under the house in very limited space was done well and timely (2 days). However, Sergio was to also have someone repair the bathroom floor so we could reinstall the toilet. 2 weeks filled with phone calls to Sergio, his saying my guy will be there and the guy never showing. My wife and daughter are yelling at me every day to have the toilet replaced. I am now calling floor people to fix the bathroom floor. On this project I would give Sergio an A for the drainage repair. ( The negative being that there was a bundled price for the under house repair and the bathroom floor which Sergio reduced when the job took about half the time Sergio had estimated.) His guys work hard and appear very productive. The price increased and decreased several times during the course of the job. I would give Sergio an F for the bathroom floor repair which was never made because his guy could never come during 2 weeks but Sergio would always promise he would be there the next day or two. I had to change may schedule to be home when no one showed up. If you have a drainage problem of any sort, these guys are good, reasonable and several hours late but come the same day even if late. If work is to be done by someone that does not work for Sergio I would strongly recommend that you confine his job to plumbing.

When the backup first occurred, we hired a rooter company to open the line. This company claimed it was open but gave no guarantee. The next day it was backed up again so we used another rooter company who said the line needed to be repaired and they would do it. (It turns out that they were right that the line needed repair but were very wrong about the problem.) This rooter group were not the ones I wanted to do a larger, more complex job. I called several companies to assess pricing and knowledge. When I called Gonzalez Sewer Service, I was very impressed with Sergio Morales' knowledge about the problem. When he came over for the estimate, I was even more impressed about this knowledge. He utilized a 3 person team including himself. He gets the guys started and leaves. However, he returns and is hands on during the complex (non digging) parts of the job such as clearing the line with special tools, replacing pipe, making connections and figuring out what to do. He said that his grandfather started the business, his father had run the business and he took over some years ago. They cleaned up afterward, all team members communicate well and they are very professional. Really know what they are doing.
