Real Estate agent scheduled this guy in response to buyers request. Paid $150 for inspection to David Hadad for the inspection, when I asked him for a diagnosis when he was done he stated he only provides inspection report to agent, and hung up the phone on me. When agent sent me report he had many items that are not required by code, like a spark arrestor and rain guard, this might be a good idea for a wood burning fireplace (though not required by code for any fireplace), it is not needed at all for an only gas fireplace like he inspected. We actually had a chimney cap and arrestor on our chimney, but he said it was not 'proved, and when I called him later to discuss he just kept yelling, "not buyer 'prove, not to buyers 'prove". I don't know what that meant and we were 2 days from closing, so I said eff it and let him do the work, since it seems he already scared the buyer with his B.S. He removed the chimney cap and replaced it with an identical unit....what???? When I told him this he advised that this is what the buyer required to feel safe purchasing the home. We paid close to $2000 to this guy to do a couple of hours of work. I wish we would have stood our ground, but it is hard when you are that close closing....look out folks.

David Haddad price was lower compared to the other estimates I received.  The other estimates I received used scare tactics, and one of the companies I felt was on the shady side.   David was polite and did not try to oversell. I felt his estimates were  honest.  He and his workers were punctual and polite.
I have used him twice now and would use him again.

They did a great job except for one thing. They did not put up plastic sheeting, so the dust went into adjacent rooms. However, they then cleaned up everything for free, including cleaning out the gas vents in the stove.

They were very thorough and very clean. They did an extensive repair to the chimney and left everything looking better than when they came including the parts they did not repair. That was important. They are the most flexible and affordable chimney repair that I found and they are extremely knowledgeable and experienced.

I called the owner, he came over to the house within 30 minutes as he was in the area. He inspected quoted and booked the job for the following morning. Two guys arrived the next morning and did the job quickly and efficiently.
