"Water losses can be very traumatic and turn some peoples lives upside down. At the end of the day, we didn't cause the leak in this customers home, we were contracted to do our job, just as we have done with the many customers we have served in the past. Our process for this job follows the same guidelines as all the others we have worked. As most can see, we have never had a review under 5 stars since being in business but unfortunately we came in contact with Kathy who is simply looking to blame us for this issue she had. Never once during this did she take the time to ask why certain things need to be removed or demoed during the mitigation process, instead comes on here to try and tell all of you that what we did was wrong. This was a Category 3 loss, which the IICRC S500 defines as grossly contaminated and can contain pathogenic, toxigenic or other harmful agents. The Category of water determines what materials are removed. The entire house was not flood cut and all the flooring was removed because it was continuous throughout the property and couldn't be matched. It was an engineered hardwood, on top of a self leveling plaster/concrete layer that was contaminated with mold. The initial dry out and demo took a month because she was out of town for 2 weeks in Japan. Our office had to deal with the HOA and their insurance company because her insurance wanted the master policy to cover the claim, which they obviously denied. Our office did all of this work while she was overseas. Once that entire process was over, her insurance company finally approved the claim and we went to work. The flooring demo was a very tedious process and it took almost a week due to the mold presence, but not once did she ask why it was taking so long. I could go on and on about this property and what it took for us to get it mitigated and ready for build back, but would be here typing for hours. Kathy [Consumer Name Removed] also decided that she didn't want the tenant anymore, so she evicted her during the process. That just goes to show you the type of person she is. The poor lady was already in a hotel, displaced by this unfortunate situation and then gets an eviction notice during the middle of it. We are a preferred vendor for several third party administrators and hold all the necessary licenses and insurance to do our work and yes we did threaten to lien her house because her insurance company took over 120 days to pay our invoice, an invoice that was approved by them and their third party review company. This is a standard industry process when invoices go unpaid for a period of time. We utilize industry wide, standardized billing practices, that are used by all remediation companies with this type of loss. Nobody was overcharged and only affected materials were removed, based on IICRC S500 Standards for mitigation. We are a small, family owned and operated business that serves this wonderful community with the utmost integrity and professionalism. If anyone has any concerns regarding this review and how we do our work, please contact Joe directly at 951-404-4155."
